Hej man, great videos, I watched one of your videos on the Autel MP808TS and after your review, I ordered one. HAd it for a month now. Really interested in knowing various healthy checks. I am in the market to change vehicles now and will be cool knowing what good check to perform on these vehicles that I will be looking at.
Thanks mate!!! Potential 'health checks' will depend on the car you currently have and can revolve around active tests to screen for potential tune up items. If you haven't seen this, checkout the playlist below of scans for some ideas: ru-vid.com/group/PL2pms4eLDw4Wy8rCkzwdBxmJAepW-Gfnc You don't have to watch all but can screen the ones to watch from the titles. You may also check this tune up playlist too, for the similar titles. To your second question around buying a new car, you definitely want to do an all-system scan as well as check for readiness codes.
@@DIYAutoworksNG Thanks for the tips, the cars are Range Rovers, one I have now and the next one I want to get. Going to check one tomorrow. How? can I see if someone had possibly deleted codes that the car may have had before. I would like to see the history to match possible work done on the car.
To check if codes have been deleted, you need to check the readiness monitors (catalyst monitor, misfire monitor, O2 etc). They should all read 'complete', if any reads 'incomplete' it's likely codes were cleared or a battery swap just happened. You can access the readiness monitors (aka emissions monitors) through EOBD once you tap the diagnostics button.
This is a really good tool for AC module live data, scanning for DTCs and running special functions such as checking refrigerant level. NB: if your car does not have an AC module, these functions will not be possible, since there is no _computer_ controlling AC functions. Get the scan tool from Amazon: amzn.to/3mddOH1 Disclaimer: I may earn a small commission if you purchase through this link.
Ive bought 2 days ago maxicom808ts its the same function i have 2cars one mercedes and Nissan . The problem is on Nissan the device cannot read vin number ive tried to put it manually but the same problem. The car type is Nissan y61 2006 . Can you explain how to solve my problem
Mine also does not autodetect the VIN on my 2003 Accord. I've just resolved to manual selection for the car. I am not exactly sure why. Given that the cars are quite old, it may be unlikely to get resolved in an update. You can reach out to support@autel.com and see if they have any recommendations. I would do so too and update with the response I get.
It all boils down to budget and the range of capabilities you want out of a scanner. The MP808TS is the best out of the 3 because it is an active scan tool and in addition, has the full range of services for the tire pressure monitoring system(TPMS), hence the "TS" suffix. The MP808 does everything the MP808TS would, except for the full range of TPMS functions (relearning and programing tire sensors[autel MX tire sensors]). The MK808 is an all system scanner which has a number of special functions. They are all good tools, it just depends on budget and what you want to use a scanner for.
Hello, new subscriber here. I have the autel MP808 and was trying to get to the active tests to put the windows up-and-down it seems it will put the turning signals on, honk the horn, wipers but where is the module to turn up-and-down the windows? this is a 2017 Nissan Rogue sv thanks.
Nearly $1000 for this scanner, I will buy one in the future. At the moment I'm shopping for one that costs less than $200.All I need to see is AC request in data stream and both pressure readings, any suggestions for a scanner?
Have you looked at the Autel MaxiAP AP200? Works with your phone but it's an all-system scanner and performs some service functions. I got it recently and will be doing a full review soonest! It costs 60 bucks, gives lifetime access/upgrades for one brand e.g Toyota. Other brands will need $21.99 per year for access and upgrade. I bet there would be other all-system scanners for under $200, I just haven't well-researched, tools under that price point.
MP808 or MP808TS is an all-system scanner + active scan tool/ bidirectional scanner. Meaning that you can use it to perform active tests on the vehicle. The video below is an example of how you can use an active test to diagnose problems while troubleshooting an issue ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J7Jk09qPcwI.html On the otherhand, the MK808 is an all system scanner which has some special functions. So the MK808 will not perform the active test in the video above. Let me know if this is clear enough.
Hello, I need your help, I bought an MP808TS, I downloaded all the updates, registration with AUTEL done, but when I press "diagnostic" I do not have the brands of cars that should be posted, I don't know what to do anymore .. can you help me?
Hi. Sorry to hear this. How soon after purchase did this start? Did you ever see car brands under diagnostics? I suggest reaching out to autel tech support. They are pretty responsive and should sort this since the tool is still under warranty. Their email is support@autel.com. Do let me know how it goes please.
@@DIYAutoworksNG Hi, I was able to solve my problem by contacting the seller in china, he asked me for the serial number and he sent me all my updates of all the brands of vehicles. and it works..good day
Hi. Why do you speed up you videos, with that you give wrong picture how this device is slow. I work with mine 908pro, and it is slow like hell. Some things in active test are for kids, not for mechanics.
Thanks for the comment. Genuine concern. I have never rated this as a very fast device. I don't think I said that in my full review of the tool. Speeding up the video for me is really to not make viewers sit and wait while the tool loads the next menu. I just feel its not the best use of time. And it doesn't really add value to the task at hand. Leaving stale minutes in RU-vid videos contributes to drop offs. It's the same reason I speed up tightening bolts etc in more recent videos. From RU-vid analytics, if you don't speed such stale sections, a lot of viewers will just skip ahead and may miss some good stuff.
Thanks mate. Maybe it's a disclosure I need to be making in these videos. I have never received even a free sample let alone payment from Autel. Just that I have really liked their tools, I guess coming a Foxwell. My previous Foxwell will not carry out some tests its advertised to do. I also mark any video where I receive a free sample for testing as so.
