Omg I just realized I never left a comment here. Well, this is the best milk tea recipe I’ve ever tried! I’ve used so many recipes that used fresh milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, etc and they never tasted like the ones you get from boba shops. This one tastes pretty identical!! Highly recommend this recipe! It tastes so good.

Well the purpose of the creamer component is to add richness and thicken the liquid, non dairy creamer is constantly used in the market because it is affordable and practical, other forms like fresh milk, condensed milk or half and half can be costly not to mention a lot of people especially east and southeast asians are lactose intolerant and they may get an upset stomach if they drink a full cup of bubble tea with these forms of creamer element

What about using condensed sweet milk instead of the creamer and cane sugar?
@elise9687
@elise9687 6 лет назад
Lowkey Jane use 180 mL hot tea and 50 cc condensed sweet milk. mix the condensed milk into the tea to dissolve it first, creating a fast, swirling motion with the spoon to creat the bubbles (this is a very important step) add it to the shaker with ice and shake up and away from your face for only a few seconds (if you shake too long, the tea will become watery and will not taste good) if you want to make more tea, use the measurements of 250 mL tea and 60 cc condensed milk, or 350 mL tea and 60 cc condensed milk. hope this helps anyone who’s trying to make tea with condensed milk :)

vanessa salgado Hummm.... if you're using ice in a martini shaker to cool the tea, you don't need to let the ice melt completely - that would make it too watered down. Just shake until cold and pour into a serving glass. Shaking should only take maybe 10 seconds. If you're still having that same problem, remember to brew your tea extra strong and use 2 tea bags. Good luck!
@vminhope3040
@vminhope3040 10 лет назад

Angel, correct me here....Is it best to use powdered non-dairy creamer instead of liquid. The shaking with liquid non-dairy creamer would be too dense and not result in the light frothy milk tea result?
@angelwongskitchen
@angelwongskitchen 9 лет назад
You're correct :) It's best to use powdered non-dairy creamer to achieve the light frothy texture when hand shaken. I'm using Coffee-mate in this video.

There's boba place back where I lived in Illinois and another here in Arizona that have a milk tea that is virtually identical tasting (and delicious). I've tried to recreate it myself, and I'm pretty sure they both use cassia seed tea. Does the ratio of tea/sugar/creamer work with that version too?
