In my opinion the Kad Farang Hang Dong, Wednesday night market is one of the best in Chiang Mai if you are looking for authentic Thai food and culture.
The insects (usually fried) is mainly a northern and northeastern dish in Thailand. It started appearing in thecentrsl region only when the people came to Bangkok.
Ad Farang seems a quaint place to spend your free time on the weekends. I'm a local here in Bangkok, but I rarely ever spend my time in "World's Largest Open Market", Chatujak Market. It's simply TOO crowded. That market seems to have a cool slow-pace vibe. That would be much more enticing for me to continue with the walk. What a great place to relax and actually find something you might need as well. Just subscribed. A useful video for sure.
