Interesting video! However, I noticed that HTTP Basic Auth with the setting "Forward auth (single application)" and the NPM unfortunately did not work for me with my OHIF-ORTHANC-Docker installation. The login dialogue was still displayed. Thanks to the other procedure via the "Proxy", however, it worked. I suspect that this is due to a cookie problem or to the fact that OHIF-ORTHANC was programmed somewhat strangely, as part of the website is loaded in advance before the actual DICOM data is loaded.

If i have a remote site hosted on a cPanel server that i want to protect using Authentik - how will you go about doing that. I can pass the traffic through Authentik but I don't want to do it. I only want to perform the authentication and pass the user to the site - currently the site is protected with basic authentication

Well that is authentik's whole thing...it has to pass through it to catch authentication... If authentik isn't on that cPanel server, you'd have to deploy an Outpost there, then for the least fuss...I think running a transparent proxy (list external URL for the app then the internal IP of the app as the destination along with port...I believe the Outpost should be aware of the local IP that way...otherwise without the Outpost...the internal IP listed wouldn't make sense... Someone can maybe correct me if I'm wrong...

Not sure what i'm doing wrong here. I followed the video but after everything is setup it still keeps prompting for the HTTP authentication and not just simply passing it through

When I added the nginx-proxy-manager snippet into the advanced section it immediately makes my application "offline." Have you seen this behavior? I'm on 2024.6.1 and there are some subtle differences, but I can't seem to figure out why that snippet takes the application offline?

Yup, I sure have...I made a post about it in the discord that I pasted below: "It might just be me, however, in case this can help anyone else... Do you use Nginx Proxy Manager? Did you just upgrade to authentik v2024.4.x from v2024.2.3 or older? Did you create a new app and provider in your recently upgraded authentik instance? Do you find that when you copy, paste, and adjust the proxy_pass NPM code from your provider in authentik into the advance tab of your proxy host in NPM it instantly goes offline? Well, I found that if you copy/paste the older code block from authentik 2024.2.3 (or any of your existing proxy host that are working) you should be good. I think most won't notice an issue with their current setups (because of their pre-existing/older code block already in NPM) when they upgrade authentik; it's only when you create a new proxy host in NPM will you notice this issue when copying the newer code block."

Fixed it... couldn't use the dns name for authentik in proxy pass, had to do ip:port.

Thanks for your cool videos, why you using `...authorization-implicit-consent` and not `...authorization-explicit-consent` that have `..-authorization-consent` ?

...just my preference, I don't want a 2nd prompt when logging in asking if I'm sure I'm the person that is trying to log in.
