3:06 Gabe should literally be a model. (As long as he likes it, of course) He’s so wholesome and precious. His facial expressions are always so genuine and calm, too.
As a former Master Barber, I found that these clients while unpredictable at times, knew who they could trust to keep them safe. And we're very loyal. Willing to wait their turn to sit in my chair. Loved them
As a mom of a special boy with a rare genetic disorder, and who is also a hairstylist who travels to my clients homes, I cant love this video enough💙 Great job Gabe, you did amazing buddy!
Everyone did so great! Mom's for helping him have a comfortable and supportive environment, the hair dresser for communicating and being understanding, and Gabe for tackling fears and being willing. He's doing great!
This is great for Gabe!!! He is improving his confidence every time he sees that he can make it through new and sometimes uncomfortable experiences!!! He’s so handsome!!!
You two wonderful moms set the bar so high for all parents and everybody else like me, who has no children, (dog lover, though!) on simply how to be great humans. I deeply admire and respect both of you. Your respective levels of commitment and devotion are obviously deep for Gabe, but also for each other. I could write for hours on your beautiful family and what makes it so. You represent every community you’re a part of very well. I love it! Thank you. Side note: I saw Stevie just a few years ago. I love her and got close to loving the concert as much as your family did. You did have Gabe with you-I can’t compete with him! ☺️😍 Every minute gave the best vibes from her and showered the audience. I felt it. I believe Gabe felt every song I saw him loving it all but on a deeper level than most are even capable. Have a great week, ladies and handsome Gabe. Much love. ❤
A very smart look for Gabe with that fresh cut! Always enjoy seeing the environment you create for him when he’s tackling something new. Most relaxing haircut I’ve seen. 😌
Could learn to sit more still though. I always hated going to hairdressers but I do respect them and tried to keep the position to make it easier for them. Usually try to keep the eyes closed for the majority or a great part of the session. It's just a nice thing to do. He moves too much
She's not cutting his hair any different than she would anyone else. I'm not sure what you mean? I've done hair for 37 years and this isn't a big deal. He's actually doing fine. Little kids are much harder to be honest.
@@BsTheLadynred perhaps for you. People are different and other hairdressers could be very annoyed by these kinds of movements and it could be disrespectful. I've had some strict ones that put my head in place and so it should stay there until they move it again. During that time it's at their disposal to make their work easier and faster. I wanna make it faster, I hate being in such places. Have not been in a long time. My girlfriend now does for me at home and I still try to sit as still as possible for her. I do hum and make sounds though with her during that time which helps to relax. In public hairdressing places I don't feel comfortable humming and but lately I have started doing it more in public, some people find it weird but it's relaxing and good for the voice
@@dreamthedream8929 Why would they take him to someone easily annoyed? I have no idea what you're post has to do with Gabe getting his hair cut. You made this about yourself for some reason. I don't understand what this has to do with my comment.
Oh my goodness - Gabe! So proud of him, and thankful that his hairdresser could make a house call. What a wonderful job she did! That haircut has him looking so grown up, too. He’s got such an ethereal, angelic quality about him.
Seems like Gabe gets his hair cut often, my grandson does also.. J loves his hair cut, Gabe seems to like it longer. He looks good with his hair long or short. He seems to prefer it longer. Hair is no big deal a child should be able to decide this for himself/ herself. Long island kathy
I also thought he expressed that he chooses long hair. It’s really beautiful long. I also understand that it could be causing him problems with communication. The only thing that matters is that Gabe is happy 🎉❤
Gabe shows so many emotions from ticklish, to concerned, to relaxed and to contentment. I like the way Ping allowed him to feel the clippers before using it on Gabe and how his momma held his hand too. So loving! I’m so proud of you Gabey Baby! You did so well and looks so handsome!
Wow!! She is a professional's professional!! I can tell the care & thought she's putting into each step takes so she doesn't make any unfamiliar noises AS WELL AS the way she "soft-clicks" the scissor so the noise doesn't suddenly freak him out (bcz it's so close to his ears). She is wonderful at her job as well as putting alot of care & thought into every step. If she's not already, I'd DEFINITELY make her a part of the family.
Ping is very caring and patient, Gabe did so well too i think its best at home until he is ready :) Being a hairdresser myself the music i loved and so relaxing .
3:06 Gabe should literally be a model. You guys should do that with him!! (As long as he likes it, of course) He’s so wholesome and precious. His facial expressions are always so genuine and calm, too.
That hairdresser was awesome! I especially love that she showed him what the clippers were on his hands first before she put it on his head. She was so patient and understanding and Gabe looks so handsome with his new haircut.❤
Aaw Gabe looks so grown up now & I just realized soon he'll be getting the beginnings of a beard! 🧔🏼☺️ Gabe you handled your haircut like a champ! Proud of you! 🤩🙌
Gabe has a stunning thoughtful face. There’s much going on. Gabe is constantly teaching compassion. He’s the yardstick used for us to measure how to treat people. When we reach Gabe’s level and beyond, we are generally decent people ❤
Gabe is being very patient! He is for sure getting a sensory experience from getting his hair cut. I find myself just smiling from ear to ear when he makes eye contact with the camera. I can only imagine that you must be smiling, too. I super super enjoyed watching the bowling and arcade trip. He did so great!!
For some reason, I burst into tears watching this. I think it was the music that did it. I bet you anything that calming music in the background really helped keep him calm. It was taking him to a different place, and then it took me to a different place... --late diagnosed autistic
This is the first video I've ever seen of Gabe, so I don't know how far he has come to be able to sit for this haircut. But I loved watching his face as he processed the different stages of the cut. This stylist was also amazing.
Just stumbled upon your channel. What a beautiful boy you have raised. I'm sure you've grown alongside your son and continue to. He is the light at the end of the tunnel as you are his and you should be so proud of yourself mom, because he is so proud of you, as he shows in his gestures when you move. What a beautiful hair stylist, and a beautiful family you are. Blessed💖
I think Gabe is an angel on Earth. He brightens my day. He looks a lot like my one grandson. How old is Gabe❤ I'm so proud of him for sitting there all that time being patient
I enjoyed seeing him self-advocate for keeping his hair long. However, he always looks so attractive with it shorter. Glad you managed to convince him. She did a great job, too.
What a GORGEOUS ANGEL!!! Peaceful and still...the hair dresser is a gift to our world, gentle and amazing with the scissors!! Thank you for sharing this video.❤
He is beautiful ❤, love the way he moves his hands and his smile is so sweet! Thanks to his family for helping and loving him so much, he looks so happy!!! ❤

I don’t know why this popped up on my feed, but I’m so glad it did. I kept telling Gabe with my mind , “I know it’s itchy and the sound of the scissors is weird but you’re doing so good, sweetheart” almost done ! He did sooo well❤ my youngest son is autistic and haircuts were always a challenge, especially when he was young. He’s 21 now and loves haircuts now! Such a handsome young man you have, momma . Blessings to you and your family
Goodness look at him!!!! Hes like a young ryan gossling!!! This little dude can totally be a model! Hes so handsome and he did so good 🫂🙏❤️ and i gotta give credit to the stylist for being so sweet and patient. GREAT JOB TO ALL OF YOU ESPECIALLY GABE!!! 💯
This gives me so much hope for my grandson, Oliver. He will be 5 in a few days, is nonverbal and his actions and mannerisms greatly resemble Gabe's. He is such a lovely, sweet soul and I hope he gains the tools to be truly happy. Thank you for sharing your family's journey. Gabe is an inspiration and gives me and so many others hope for the future.
My son is 6 year old an he has autism. I couldn't of asked for a more perfect human being tho. Gabe reminds me alot of him. The innocence just melts you. I hope Gabe has a very awesome day :) an his hair cut looks great :)
In this video, Gabe has a very thoughtful, inquisitive look.....you always wonder what he's thinking!! He is such a wonderful young man. I hope he has a wonderful future, ahead!! Always thinking of Gabe!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍👍
I just started watching your vlogs and Gabe is a very nice looking boy he looks so good with his hair cut he's doing so well with everything that he achieves keep up the good work Gabe your doing great ❤️❤️
I love when one of his moms comes over to help him get thru the part that is especially uncomfortable. As soon as he sees her he smiles and his shoulders come down as you see him relaxing. ❤
Thank you for sharing with us. Gabe gives a positive insight into the daiy challenges of life. He is a very special teen. Thank you Gabe for letting us see a small glimpse of your life. It's amazing. You are amazing.
I try to stay out of comments but hell I love your son and everything you guys post Its amazing to see this kid thrive and the loving support he has Bless his heart
Hi Gabe, just so you know my son who’s also autistic loves to watch your videos. He doesn’t love having haircuts either but we found a man that is patient and kind with him. He allows Scotty to process each step of his hair cut. No clippers, just scissors. He always had longer hair until recently. Your moms are wonderful and you’re a very blessed young man. You’re making an impact on other kids that see the world through a different lens and oh how beautiful you all are. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us. Love the Kai family in SoCal. P.S. he said he’d love to meet you someday. He’s verbal but enjoys getting to know non-verbal autistic kids as he’s keenly aware of their unspoken words. You look very handsome btw 😊
Gabe did so well during that haircut, especially with the use of scissors. The calming background music is such a great idea too, definitely doing that next time. My kiddo is also nonverbal with ASD and haircuts used to take about 2-3 days to fully complete with many breaks along the way. This is truly such a big accomplishment. Nail clippings are now the main challenge for us.
So handsome! Gabe reminds me of a gentleman I took care of many years ago. He's only a few months older than me and has a very rare seizure disorder. He always had a string that he carried with him everywhere he went and it had to be ling enough to drag on the groundand then some. I used to ask him if he was practicing his casting so he can go fishing. I encountered many clients when I was a Direct Care Provider who had to have something in their hands to play with all the time. I always wondered if they had a form of autism and was never diagnosed.
He’s such a good looking kid! He naturally appears to be in poses that would make amazing photos! Sending Gabe and family hugs from our family in San Antonio ❤
