Autism & Me - Well hello indie people. In this video I talk about my autism diagnosis, what I think of autism, how it affects me and generally raising awareness. I find talking about this very difficult to people, even if I know them really well it's not something i'm comfortable with. However I wanted you guys to know because you get to know me abit better and I hope you take something away from this.
Lastly I just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you who have been so supportive since I declared this. It is incredibly heartwarming to know that people understand and care enough to support me. Thank you for just being you and keep being amazing!

Truly fascinating some things you said Indie-Andy, especially others not comprehending what it is like being autistic. I could sum up my social relationships in one word MIS-UNDERSTOOD. Example ~~> crowds are way over stimulating for me so I "shy" away. If I go to a church and refuse to enter then I am accused of being not religious. If I leave a party early accused of being antisocial, cancelling a party invitation makes me a snob and worth rejecting, not going to office parties I am aloof. The list goes on and on with a million perceptions of one adult man beset with sensory overload problems--period-autistic. What ever social repercussions and anxiety I experience comes from these myriad misconceptions of really a rather simple person, mea. Autism is much more, much more and if its reality can be grasped, I believe, the secret of what is human can be found "within" ~~~ great video thanks ~~~

+SBS man Yeah I can say that social interaction for me is the same quite honestly :) Yeah I know what you mean man. Autism is something that is very misunderstood and I believe people should learn more about. Thanks man that means alot

I definitely think this was a great way to spread awareness. Also, good for you for acknowledging the positive aspects of your diagnosis and not letting your challenges with autism stop you from doing what you want in life. That is incredibly admirable and inspirational! Btw, congratulations on 100 subscribers!!! That's AMAZING :D

+MantherPanther Aww thank you so much :) I'm just one of those people who like to see the positive in everything but also I thought it might help another people who think the diagnosis is a bad thing. Again thank you so much :) I am really surprised!

Excellent video my friend, not an easy topic to talk about... and one of the largest and most diverse topics given all the variations from person to person on the spectrum. #Respect

+Paul "Hatman" Varcent Thanks man. Yeah I know I could have gone on for awhile but that I didn't have the time sadly. There is more I can cover in other videos though so I might have to do that ;)

Seriously mind blown with your bravery and modesty. Making a video like this must not have been an easy one for you, but I'm so glad you did! You speaking so openly and eloquently about such an overshadowed topic just like tripled my respect for you. Bringing awareness to these things is so important and I know your subs must really appreciate it! AND BTW CONGRATS ON 100 FRIGGIN SUBS YO! YOU SO DESERVE IT!

+Linds Caroline Coming from someone who is truly respect and admire, that means alot to me! Haha I was feeling abit crappy after the recorded it because there were things I forgot to put in but I think it has some awareness I hope :) aww thank you so much Linds! Hey well think of it this way, now you still have lots more content to make even more videos on the topic which I would love to see much more of. I personally know very little about autism so even just watching this video taught me a lot. And haha right?! Meeting someday would be so cool! Maybe once we have 10 million subs We'll be able to meet and actually do an in-person collab! one can dream right lol!? :p

+Linds Caroline Hmm yeah I guess so and I think it would be interesting for me to go into it abit more as well! Yeah definitely. Haha honestly if an in-person happen, I don't think I'd be able to contain my excitement frankly :)

Hi Andy, Thanks for sharing your experiences with Autism as I know that it is not an easy topic for sometime for us to talk about. I enjoyed your video and it's great that you're creating an awareness. I know that it can be difficult and am hoping that you'll be more confident and brave about doing so. Just need to remember just to be ourselves and more here. I do get you for what you're sharing here Andy. I do go through some good days and bad days with me with my Aspergers and also with my other conditions running through it. I am one of your newbie supporter and would love it if you would like to pop into my channel if you haven't done so already to have a look around etc and maybe we can get to know each other more if you would like by pming each other? You have a great day and keep being you and smile :) Aspie.

+Aspie AnswersAll Hi Aspie :) Thank you so much for your comment, it was a really nice read. Yeah I have confidences but not when it comes to topics like autism as it does scare me. Also it is such a massive topic that it is impossible to cover everything. But yeah since you have taken the time to watch me and subscribe, of course I will go over to your channel. Just keep being amazing :)

+IndieAndy: Hi you are welcome for my message of support. It will take time to get the confidence etc believe me I was like you too and felt that with RU-vid as a platform to build y confidence along with other gears to use. Thanks. Also, how did you manage to have a love heart on the comment???

I think ADHD is considered a sensory processing disorder but I don't think it's technically under the autism umbrella. Thatès just what I heard though.
