I've heard of using red lights at night to help get melatonin production going. I'm going to try this.

I wonder if there is a connection between cortisol imbalance and autism. Cortisol gives you energy and mine peaks at 9pm. It should peak in the afternoon.

There is! Individuals with autism are known to show more prolonged, cortisol, response, and slow recovery from stressors
