We are learning so much from your videos. Part of that is the great text animations, transitions, etc. What platform do you use to edit your videos? Canva, Adobe CC? I appreciate your time.
As always I love your content and thanks for these updates. I would definitely pay to have an ad-free experience on Instagram. I do a silly IG page for my Frenchies and get pummeled with ads and it seems like I cannot just enjoy my feed, so I would be happy to have an ad-free space to play. Thanks again for this content!
I don’t need social media that bad. This actually may be a good thing for me. I’m too cheap to pay so I’ll just spend more time reading or something else. 😂
As essential as I've come to feel RU-vid Premium is, I can't imagine paying the same price (or more) to avoid ads on IG/FB. Not only are you not held hostage by ads in the same way, but as others have mentioned they do at least feel more relevant and less invasive. Plus, I get YT Premium as part of a bundle with other indispensable Google features - Meta doesn't offer nearly the same value for the cost.
SO TRUE! I feel like there's so much more value that RU-vid and Google offers when paying for Premium. Plus, I enjoy knowing that when I pay for RU-vid Premium, some of that goes back into the Creators pocket of videos I watch! It's a win-win for all parties
I find ads on RU-vid completely intolerable but IG ads are in general tolerable and I do regularly find things (usually courses/programs) I am interested in - so I don't like the options of 'we use your data for ads and you don't have to pay' or 'you pay and see no ads'. I all around just want marketing to stop being dominated by gimmicks, manipulations, and outright lies. I want the ability to see quality offerings from people with integrity. I would happily offer up certain data about myself in order to help the algorithms filter out the noise and 💩.
I'm worried about how much content people are picking that makes it easy to make content that doesn't add much to anyone's life on any site. So much false information is out there because of this. I think we should look into how many people are abusing all of these apps to make the terrible videos that are all over RU-vid right now.
I would not pay for an ad-free instagram, I dont find ads invasive, and it actually helps me most of the time to find things of interest, Iike stuff I want to buy or discovering interesting new accounts
Oooo I love this perspective! While I don't find any of the ads I see interested, I also don't feel like they're "invasive enough" to pay for an ad-free experience. Like...they're just there 😅😅
I feel that this whole suing social media companies for inspiring "addictive behavior" is ridiculous. Like, where does it end? Let's go ahead and sue all video game companies & all television producers while we are at it... the problem is not the thing being provided. It's the attachment people have to it due to the need to numb themselves and detach from the world. It's up to the individual to moderate how much time & energy they are giving to something.
If they're going to sue social media apps for "addictive behavior" then they also need to sue to junk food companies for their addictiveness as well. They're one of the major reasons for the obesity epidemic! While we're at it, sue cigarette companies, sue alcohol companies for their addictive substances; these industries have contributed to more deaths than all the social media apps combined!
I abandoned my Instagram and 165K followers when Meta started subscriptions in early November. It was a cynical move to get around data protection laws in Europe, as Meta are calculating that not many people would sign up for a ad free as the collective user data is much more valuable. I always hated the way the app manipulated people into generating content and how the algorithm pushes the most misinformation and dangerous content to keep people addicted to the platform. The others are not better so I won't be buying a Sub, from Zuck, Musk, tiktok or Google anytime in the future.
EU regulations are making life hard for us living in the EU. GDPR is not working (your data is not protected from scammers), and you only get an annoying accept cookie policy to view the page. There are more nonsense things that are pulling the EU back to the stone age when it comes to IT. Definitely not going to pay to use FB or IG, I do not mind seeing ads, and some of the ads are adorably cute!
I'm not a fan of TikTok but in my opinion TikTok will be a good alternative or competetor of RU-vid in the future. Because of it's gaining popularity and ad revenue.
Here in Europe we know that the add problem isn’t about the adds, it’s about pressuring social media companies into EU forced censorship. If companies would obey the EU in blocking posts/accounts they could put whatever adds they want in front of you.
Another fantastic video Millie and love 🥰 it. I have changed my name from David's Vegan Life because I thought a new name might be better for SEO purposes. All my social media accounts have had the name changed and despite some governments attitude towards Tiktok I have set up an account to use Tiktok to promote my RU-vid channel. Love 💞 Millie.
I practically live on my phone😅 but tbh ive never even heard those two tt songs you mentioned lmfao 🙈🙈 Oh dang and now TT is dabbling in going the YT route with 15 minute videos also?? They really wanna take over the world hey 😅😅
I know no one asked for the polls in comments but I find it convenient for days when I want interactions but don't want to hassle with my overthinking tendencies. A post then asking if the viewers agree or disgree.
Jack films was hitting snipperwolf in the pocketbook by teaching creators how to do copywrite strikes on her content. Cat is out of the bag on how to legally hurt lazy content creator stealers
Hi Millie! I really enjoy your channel! I have a quick question about Instagram that I was hoping you could answer! I have been trying to grow the account that used to be just my personal account. I started making reels for fun and did some fashion videos and more humor based videos, from there, I started taking it more seriously and shifted into lifestyle & fashion. I've gained around 600 followers since August, so it is reaching people, but I know they always say that its bad to switch niches and that its better to start with a new account. I was just wondering if my account won't be pushed because I've confused the algorithm or if you had any tips when you're starting with an old account not a new one. Thank you so much!
Hi, Caroline! Thank you so much. Don't start a new account! I would definitely try to hone in on your fashion niche, and maybe veer away from the "lifestyle" portion... It's not often we see a new lifestyle account succeed these days! You can put your own humor and personality into your fashion content to make yourself unapologetically you! :) The algorithm will catch up, and sounds like the algorithm is already doing what it needs to- 600 since August is great!
