Hey there, old video, but I tried setting SS to LAYISO (layer isolate) and it wouldn't work after following your steps.... could you see if it works on your end? Thanks!
In the "acad.pgp" file make sure your alias is under the "USER COMMAND ALIASES" section and make sure that section is LAST in the file. If it's not, cut and paste the whole section (aliases included) at the bottom. User aliases have to be last in order for the to take precedence. Make sure to save the file, then close. When you go back to AutoCAD type REINIT and select the "PGP file" then click OK. You can alternatively restart AutoCAD. I tested it myself and it does indeed work.
Thanks, could you screenshot what it looks like on your pgp notepad? My says SS, *LAYISO and is under the User Defined Command Aliases section but still can't execute that command after saving and REINIT@@youcandraft
