Thankyou, very informative and handy. Now the Question. Why do you not use Paper space to add the Titles, scaling only your viewport. You will save save so much time. Then you bring it in 1:1 in Paper space, using several different viewports, on a viewport layer, of which the printing icon is turned off. You need 1 Textstyle, of which you just change the size. Your very handy attributed blocks and 1 Dimension style. AutoCAD does support your drawing style, but were created since I think AutoCAD R13 (1995?), with Paperspace and it is the way it should be used.
Attributes in a block was like Chinese language to me. Your tutorial was so clear that I am now creating attribute blocks everywhere :-) Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!
The thing is i used this to define spaces so i have the name under it i have the height and then the level, but when i chnage it the name doen't stay in the same place
Thanks for sharing the video. it helps a lot. In the video 9:03-9:07 when the block is moved from top to bottom the scale is changed, could you explain how to do when working on model view rather than scaling the viewport ?
For some reason I tried to create a tag circle with attribute in annotative inside of the circle in model space at 1:1. Then I turn it into a block also in annotative mode. When ever I go into model space in the layout sheet, and insert the leader with block content type and enter the block name, it gives me a "invalid input" on the command line. Then I researched in a few forums and found out that you can't have the block as annotative if the attribute is already annotative. And it worked just fine. I don't think it has anything to do with me having AutoCAD LT and you having the full version. But I am more confused now :p Great video by the way, very clear explaining the steps. Thanks for your videos.
thank you for making this video, i have an unusual issue i hope you can help with. ive created a block after watching your video. i insert my block at the correct annotation scale. i then change the annotation scale so i can add a the same title to a detail( at a different scale), i then insert the block, but instead of the newly inserted block being at the correct scale, all of my existing block are scaled to the new annotation scale. its like all of my blocks are linked. i think this issue is in the way i created the block, any suggestions on how to fix this?
+Joe Holewski Check to see if you have “Add scales to annotative objects when the annotation scale changes” turned on. It is right next to the annotation scale at the bottom of the sheet, it is the cross section of the architectural scale with the lightning bolt next to it. This adds any annotation scale you switch to to all of your annotative objects. Try turning it off and removing the scales you don't want from each object in Properties.
