O Man thank you so much i've been looking for this for a long time, but i wish if the second example was in feet and inches because i stuck with it.Lol
The Align option is just a new(ish) feature in AutoCAD that is conceptually the same as what I've shown, as is the Reference option using the Scale command. It doesn't matter which tool you use as long as you understand the concept of scaling and making something real-world scale
