What's the name of the textbook that contains this solids? The tutorial was great! Would you mind to explain how did you set your workspace before this, i.e. layers, etc.

If 4 inches looks small on your screen, just zoom in. AutoCAD has infinite space. If you have a large object, you'll have to zoom out. Think about it as a map, if you zoom in you can see the streets, if you zoom out, you'll be able to see the city but the streets will look small.
