Thank you very much!! Fantastic Video, exactly what I have searched for. In the other videos they waste 30-50 minutens of time to explain what you explained in not even 7 minutes.
I can't thank you enough for sharing this tutorial! It was super simple and well explained, in 5 minutes I was able to make a mold for an enclosure I designed. Thanks again!
John, I love to know if you can crate Brep body from Mesh that you fit inside box.. then instead of using millions of triangles it would create new object ( like actual mold) if I follow you to point I get upper body and lower body of the box and my solid however since my plane was the bottom where my solid was placed on it won't combine the solid with bottom box only shows back the solid and bottom box disappear
I am a bit lost as to what you are trying to say in your comment. If you want to send along your Mold Creation model, I will be glad to take a look at it. You can export your Fusion 360 file (.f3d) directly from the application. My email is jhackney1972@outlook.com
@@jrhackney the issue is with fusion itself.. autocad and the general platform.. I have shape as Mash.. Either quad Mash or tirangle Mash.. I can't convert it to T splines. Ideally I would love Fusion to be able to create mold either 2 part or one part (digital mold that is ) and use the calculation of the mesh outher shell .. in fact if you have STL Mesh it generates all the details you need for molds.. it's closed empty object with boundaries in space.. unfortunately there is still no easy way to convert STL files back to solids.. yes you can use either Remake, or Netfabb, or Blender or Meshmaker ( you can't use autocad to import these in, you can export them though which is kinda stupid.. but while the STL or OBJ file contains all the details.. there should be an option to create automatically mold out of that object and then fill that mold as one part.. not with millions of quads or triangles.. the solid wouldn't necessarily be editable but it would be a solid with solid fill and you could be able to sculpt... Zbrush too.. when you 12000 facets on cmplex objects like interlocking angled parts this would be gold.. or any design thingiverse.. I used also freecad, Instantmesher, but what I have seen from your video gave me an idea to create mold of bottom part and mesh which at that moment doesn't have mass so it can't bond to the bottom box and even if it's converted to Brep it doesn't represent nearly the actual shape..
