Autodidact Is Now Insane! 

That’s the real problem with the perk honestly. You never really get enough heals to get that many skill checks

The perk has a hidden feature that reduces the chance of skillcheck

Yeah. It's a luck based perk and there's so many better ones that actually work reliably. Botany Knowledge and We'll Make It to name two. I always thought it should have been 0%/10%/20%/30%/40%/50% so it's never actively harmful but that and/or guaranteeing at least one skill check per heal is what this perk needs. Even if it has to be reeled in a bit. (Yes I've been downed too many times because a heal didn't complete due to someone using Autodidact)

This and the -15% start buff is all Autodidact needed. The 5 stack max shoulda been lowered to 4.

@@YillanTheVillainlowering the max stack is nerfing a shitty perk again, it doesn’t deserve that.

@@finksmaestro1798 The part of Autodidact that was bad was the -25% starting skill check penalty. People used it for that +50% after five stacks. Now that it's -15% starting why do you need the additional 10% to make it 60% at five stacks? I feel like the problem will arise when Comp players whine about that small +10% buff and get Autodidact nerfed back.

​@TheVillainYillan no all it needed was an increased chance for skill checks. That's literally the only reason why it isn't good. You could heal someone a full health state and still not get a single skill check. The percentage isn't an issue if you make skill checks happen more

Or you could just combine this with deadline and have the best of both

@@user-ul9qq1ef3f .......... the buff has basically given 1 skillchecks worth for free. So no. The old perk losing progress in the second skillcheck is not better than starting with the first skillcheck already done

What they’re trying to say is that the current regression on the perk sets back your healing progress by so much that it gives more time for a third skill check to appear during that heal. With that being said, obviously this new version is so much better.

I mean it's not really going to be any better tbf. The values were never bad, in fact the values are great. The issue has always been the skillcheck consistency (or lack thereof). This perk will remain as consistent as it is now (if not slightly less consistent due to no longer having that second reduced progress, which would a lot of times buy more time for an extra skill check) because they didn't change anything about the chances to receive a skillcheck lol. 9 times out of 10 you are never even going to notice the benefits from this buff. It's a shame 😞

@@boringmonkey6958 im not gonna lie i just like the idea of autodidact having an even more insane progress boost, its already funny as hell to me seeing a heal go from like 30% to almost done instantly

Should just be a thing in general, you can't go 10 seconds without receiving at least 1 skillcheck, but for those 10 seconds it can come at any time

Put solidarity on with it, the skillcheck progress applies to the self heal as well.

the problem with that is.. deadline only works while YOU are injured.. tried that one out because im a skill check autodidact conisseur

Why is Deadline requiring you to be injured? I guess it’s to make it harder to use with Hyperfocus but Deadline makes the skill checks harder so only insane players would hit it consistently! Just make it work at all times 😢

@@Pixium The main pro to using deadline with autodidact is that on your first heal all the negative stacks are out of the way so they can’t come back to haunt you later. I wish Spine Chill still increased the odds of getting skill checks like it used to. .

​@antmsurvivorpokemon1 he's only complaining about babysitter because it doesn't help tunnelling at all if they use a chase kiIIer....... the ONLY characters that tunnel effectively.. They just need to make Blight, Nurse, Wesker and Chucky lose their power after a stun like Legion and Plague do

​@@antmsurvivorpokemon1 he has a point with babysitter though. It doesn't counter tunneling for the stronger killers who are effective at tunneling. It only makes weak killer weaker.

He even showcased it on his stream, how about you pay attention and use your brain.

Botany only increase the healing speed. Autodidact works directly on the bar
