This is absolutely amazing!!! I'm not sure how the code works, but do you think in a further update, there could be a way to add "barriers and bridges" to better control the flow? For example, when the flow meets an intersection, it could continue straight ahead and not fill the two parts on the sides so it fills one space at a time?
it probably functions more like an animated matte, hence it fills everything.. it can't distinguish between the sides of an "intersection".. your best bet is to split your artwork with masks and apply autofill to each resulted layer
I take it you don't recommend using this with complex illustrations? I tried 3 tests with the trial and it's glitchy as hell. Almost looks as if it jumps frames, after about 50% of the fill, it jumps to 80% filled. I tried both an illustrator file, and a png.
hit the "resimulate" button each time you alter settings, see if that helps; I noticed the glitches too, on some very basic artwork (I was not clicking resimulate); once I hit that button, it was all fine
I'm doing a simple test with the trial on the word "Hello" but it only fills in 1 letter when I follow the demo. Is this a demo restriction or am I doing this wrong?
Does this have control over the 'tip' shape of the fill? ie: using a shape layer as the fill tip? This is an important feature for me. A lot of the fill tips look flat. Or is this controlled with the speed map or something?

The trial version of the plugin just keeps making the layer flash. I've tried deleting caching, turning off mult-rendering, force strict cache but still flashes. Not great!
I am getting similar issues. Instead of a black layer, I see a large X over the entire composition with what appears to be digital noise filling the X.

I'm interested to give this plugin a try, but I really need a way to have the animation start from a specific point in time. The 100 frames delay option in the composition tab doesn't cut it for me... Is there any way to keyframe the start of the fill animation somehow?

Hello Even if i use the border strenght i can´t make that the autofill goes to all of my letters of the title, im really confused because everyone seems its working fine but not for me. Its a simple Ai file with a text, still can´t solve it, help. Nice vid btw
Hi Erich If the gap between letters is very large, you may need to increase the radius. Regardless, if you're having trouble please submit a support ticket on aescripts with the project file that has the issue and I will assist you as soon as possible to find a solution.
Whenever I download the file, it keeps telling me that the extension of the file is incorrect and can't add it to my after effects software... Any idea as to why that's happening?
After downloading from their site, did you put the Autofill.aex file in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects YOURYEARVERSION\Support Files\Plug-ins? That worked for me.
