Here's a step-by-step guide:
Create a Google Doc Template: We'll start by making a Google Doc template with placeholders for data, such as Name, Address, Email, Date, and Phone Number, enclosed in double curly braces.
Set Up a Google Spreadsheet: This will be our data source for the autofilled documents.
Dive Into the Code: Using Google Apps Script, we'll automate the data transfer. The code is provided in the description below.
Run the Script: Paste the code into Google Apps Script, run it, and grant the necessary permissions.
Using the Spreadsheet: After the script execution, go to the spreadsheet, click the "Outright Store" button, and select "show sidebar" to reveal a sidebar form.
Enter Template Document ID and Header: Fill in the headers like "Name, Address, Email" according to your data, then click "create header" to finalize the setup.
