Yes you can

Having it fully open is a starting point then dial it in to achieve the foam you want, sometimes this is needed to softer or harder water areas where you might need a stronger dilution of product.

It is fine on all glass, but we say to avoid windscreen because we recommend you clean the windscreen last with a dedicated glass cleaner anyway, so no need to apply Polar Seal to it

It can be used in place of Hd or UHD Wax if you like. Or you can apply HD or UHD Wax over the top of Polar Seal if you really want to.

We would recommend you use the products separately.

This can be used as a replacement altogether if you like. It it were me, I would do a "traditional" big session a few times a year with a hand wash, decontamination, polish and hand wax with UHD 2-4 times a year and then use the 3 Polar products for the maintenance washes the rest of the time.

Hi, Polar Seal is a hydrophobic coating, it can last for around 6 weeks, it can be used alone, but often users will use it as a top up to more durable protection, such as UHD Wax, Rapid Ceramic Spray, Extra Gloss Protection and UHD Ceramic Coating.

The standard formulation should be fine for a challenger. Polar Seal lasts around 6 weeks depending on weather, miles covered etc, once the beading has stopped you'll know it's time to re-apply

Absolutely. We would advise a few Super Resin Polish sessions throughout the year. You can use Polar Seal over EGP no problem.

It will never cause damage but more regular use than that is a) a waste as there is no benefit to reapplying that soon and b) can cause a build up of product that can then lead to a less than perfect finish as the surface is loaded up with too much.

You can use one for all three if you like. Just blast through some water after each product is applied to remove any remnants of the previous product.

A good thick, quality foam will ensure a longer dwell time. The longer the chemical is in contact with a surface, the longer it can work.

AutoglymUK That makes sense - thank you :) . I’ll only use my expensive/good foam cannon then - and rinse it thoroughly after use.

Once you have rinsed the Polar Seal off, give the windscreen a quick dry then clean with Fast Glass :)

@@AutoglymUK I have previously put Optimum No Rinse and Opti-Seal. I somehow can't get this Opti-Seal completly off the car. Can I just put Coat-it straight on previous products amd coat-it will work? Just use Autoglym products, and wait for Optimum products to go away from my paintwork?

Coat It/Polar Seal will be fine on top of other waxes/sealants. If you wanted to remove it Intensive Tar Remover will remove existing protections

Not really, no. In the same way you would not use a wax either, only one protective product is needed.

Hi, congratulations! All products can be applied when wet, yes,.That is the beauty of them. Rapid Detailer is ok for side and rear windows, but we do not recommend for Windscreen. Rapid Detailer does a good job on glass, but we would highly recommend a dedicated glass cleaner for your windows, such as Fast Glass for light to medium dirt or Car Glass Polish if you have stubborn dirt to shift .

You do not need to buff no, a blow drier is fine.

No, it is not a ceramic, however, that aside we do not recommend that this product is used on motorbikes as it can make surfaces slippery. Do not use this product on your bike please.

AutoglymUK I covered up brakes and tyres and scrubbed it all I.e brake discs and tyres afterwards to ensure it’s not slippery I always drag brakes for a few mins to ensure water and products burnt off thanks for the reply

We advise that Polar Seal is used with a pressure washer only. Rapid Aqua Wax is a very good non-pressure wash applied alternative.

Wash the car first, leave it wet, then spray this on after and immediately rinse off.

Yes bar the windscreen, if you do get any on the windscreen use Fast Glass to remove, this is to avoid any wiper judder and possible smearing.

Yup, but it's durability on the alloys won't be as good due to how hot wheels can get during driving.

you don;t have to strip off existing wax, no. It can be applied straight after a pre wash and contact wash. We would recommend you wax before using Polar Seal.

Because untreated, super clean windscreen glass is the safest in our opinion for visibility in wet weather as it does not affect the way the wipers move water from the surface.

It is safe, yes. The Polar Seal will sit on top of any existing layers of product. It will not react with coatings, but just sit on top of them.

Well, it is up to you really. If it were me, I would go for Extra Gloss Protection, or even better UHD Wax. The reason is, that the car is already dry after you have used the Super Resin Polish, so you would need to get it wet again and dry it again if you want to use the Polar Seal. No big thing to dry it again, and using Polar Seal would be faster overall, but if you get some Extra Gloss or UHD Wax on the car, you can then use Polar Seal to top up the protection during subsequent maintenance washes. It is entirely up to you, no wrong answer in this case.

It is not the optimal way to apply Polar Seal, and in truth not a technique we have tested. We recommend you apply with a pressure washer for the best results.

No. Despite what you may read elsewhere, there is no product that is sprayed or wiped on that will 100% protect you from Bird Droppings. The best way to combat bird dropping damage is 1. Avoid droppings where possible. 2. Remove any droppings as quickly as possible 3. If damage has occurred, and the vehicle is suitable, use Autoglym Reflow to safely, quickly and effectively remove the damage.

No minimum time, in fact you want to get this on and off as quick as possible. for the best possible finish apply to the car quickly and then switch to the water rinse and get it off quickly. This is not like a regular product that gets better or protects more the longer you leave it, the chemistry is different. On fast, off fast, no dwell time or curing time needed. As for the need to dry, the buffing action of a drying towel or similar can ensure the finish is even if a bit has been missed during the rinse. Ideally dry it yes, but if you do not need to it will be ok and you can catch any rinse missed areas during the next contact wash or application of Rapid Detailer or similar.

It was designed to be used with a pressure washer. In theory yes, as long as the product is delivered onto the vehicle in a even manner and does not exceed 40ml and 50ml then you should be ok. Easier to use a pressure washer though.

@@AutoglymUK I would have thought the pressure washer would further dilute the product when it is sprayed via the lance onto the car? So if using a pump sprayer at 1:6 dilution wouldn't it be too concentrated?

Not really, Rapid Aqua Wax is a wax, this is not a wax, it is a synthetic. Also Rapid Aqua Wax needs buffing, this does not. But I guess, that they can both be used on any hard external surface, so in that respect - yes.

That would not be advisable. The polishing action will unsettle/remove the Polar Seal. If you want to polish this is better to do as part of a 'big' session a few times a year. So Polar Blast, Polar Wash, Super Resin Polish (if required), Polar Seal would be the order.

Because the product is durable, you can end up with too much on the surface and eventually this can effect the finish and it will not look as good. Once a month is great, because the product will not have gone, but you are not anywhere near at risk of having too much on, plus it saves you money too - no need to put more on than you need!

The durability has surprised people. We have had people mention a few months. We do not recommend it is used any more often than once a month. This is for two reasons, firstly you do not NEED to apply this any more often, so it is a waste of time applying it and product. The second is that repeated applications will eventually start to compromise the finish, in short there will be too much Polar Seal on the surface and the finish will suffer as a result.

I just re apply once I notice the coat is not repelling water anymore usually after a month

Can't say for sure, but unlikely it would harm the paint. After you have used Polar Seal it is unlikely you will feel the need to add anything further to the paintwork.

We have done all of our testing with cold water with this product, and the Polar series as a whole, as domestic pressure washers tend to be cold water only. It is usually the professional equipment that can do a hot wash and the Polar range was always designed for domestic use. The Polar range will work very well with cold water. In theory I can;t think of a reason to avoid hot, except that it will speed up evaporation of the product, which you do not want. To be honest, wee would stick to cold if it were us.

Not at this point, no. You can wax at other points during the year, if you have a few "big" sessions a year you can wax, then use Polar Seal to top up the wax protection. Or you can just keep using Polar Seal as your only protective product. It is up to you.

@@AutoglymUK too scary to rely wholesome on this product and no wax! Will use it as a top up to cut down on amount of times i wax the car. Just bought the Autoglym Magma today, my 2007 chrysler 300c never had a claybar.... going to turn the car red!

This should be applied to a wet car. Do not apply it to a dry car.

In a practical sense it is impossible to completely avoid any overspray on the windscreen. Don;t get overly concerned about it, just make sure you clean the windscreen with Fast Glass of Car Glass Polish after using Polar Seal and you won't have any thing to worry about.
