definitely interested in a qgis plugin that does this. i spend a lot of time digitizing legacy data for long term environmental changes and to do desktop studies because they're cheap. a digitization solution like this would be incredible.
Hey! I was wondering if it's possible to change x and y axis in order to make a layout look better, i am working with very long transects and I have to zoom out a lot in order to make every point visible. But doing so my boreholes looks really tiny and I can't see the differences in lithology. So I was wondering if there was a plug in or a toll to adjust x and y axis. Thanks in advance.
Hey Thank you for your comment but I m not sure if you are talking about something in this tutorial or you have another problem you are facing in Qgis, do you want to flip the X and Y axis ? rotate the map / Qgis canvas ?
@@MiningGeologist sorry, I was talking about the 3D Drillholes Video that you did. I followed all your steps and it works fantstic, the only problem is when I export my layer with the drillholes in order to make a layout. The problem is that the drillholes are on a transect which is more or less 180 meters long. While the drillholes are only up to 7.5 meter deep, so in order to make every drillhole fit in my layout I have to use higher map scale (zoom out). And when I do this my drillholes becomes so tiny that its hard to see the differencies in lithology because the colours blend with each other a little. I want for exempel to make the x axis 10 times higher than the y axis, doing so I would "strech" togheter the 180 meters while keeping the right dept for the drillholes. The y axis would look like this: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ecc while the x axis: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 ecc. I searched for some tool to make this happen but I didnt found anything? Do you know some plug in that could help?
Have you tried to do the same process with image supervised classification? What was the perfomance difference with usign AI tools? Have you find any solution to deal with the black boundaries and symbology like faults, labels, etc.?

Also, a higher resolution is essential for optimum performance. Regarding the black boundaries: if they're thick, the tool interprets them as polygons. If thin, they're recognized as boundaries separating two polygons. For more intricate symbologies like faults and labels, further automation or fine-tuning tailored to specific tasks or datasets could improve the tool's accuracy.
