That is an amazingly simple solution using mostly* off the shelf components! Great work. Thank you for posting this up!!!

Good afternoon and thanks so much for stopping by👍👍. I am glad you like this one. it was a challenging project but came out pretty good. Take a look at the other clip for this press. it is shorter and in 4K. It focuses more on the actual work rather than the fabrication. Here is the link. Take care and have a great week. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ODMnQtjYKm8.html

Very cool !!! Maybe you add some FESTO pneumatics to push the lever and you're fully automated and ready for 24/7 operations.

Good morning and thanks for stopping by Matthias👍🥇. At some point we considered using pneumatics but we gave it up. No real reason but at the time it looked like manual operation will do. Take care and have a great weekend☀☀

This is a brilliant idea!! But from my experience I've only needed to ream 223 brass cases because most of them are crimped. I may be mistaken.

Thanks for stopping by the channel Erik👍. Several 45ACP have been giving problems so just processed the complete lot. The crimp is not as visible as that of a 308. Great results overall with no issues in priming when running the automated press. Take care and have a great day

If you don't mind me asking, are you an engineer or machinist? You seem to have no issues designing and executing these high tech tasks

Hi Jeff. Noting of that sort. My background is in telecom and search & rescue. I just get inventive and normally very practical. When I put my mind on something it is always with relentless determination and will not give up until I get its done. Take care my friend.

Love the design! If I may ask why didn't you just mount the motor with a Jacob's style or quick change chuck on it to the plate and use it in a direct drive configuration? That is what I was thinking about doing, I am no engineer so I don't know if my idea would work or not?
@ReloadingMoreAD1966
@ReloadingMoreAD1966 Год назад
Good afternoon and thanks for stopping by the channel Bama👍🙏. Let me start by saying that I am also not an engineer but somehow things tend to work. We had several ideas but your system I did not think of honestly. We wanted to get a system that can operate for say 1hr without any issue, that we could adjust the speed in some form or another, also adjust the torque, and also that we could have ways of replacing parts, mostly the bit if need be. In a few weeks I have a new clip coming out on this one since it has now worked over 35,000 cases. Also added a small modification but nothing special. Take a look at the description of this video to see all items used. Stick around for the next clip on this. Take care and have a great day.

Hats off! Amazing work and sub’d. Curious, not factoring in a cost for your time and ingenuity, what did v3 cost you total in parts? Different threaded reamers for various size primer pockets, correct? Once again, amazing work and thanks for taking the time to document it so well and for uploading it for the community.
@ReloadingMoreAD1966
@ReloadingMoreAD1966 Год назад
Thanks for the sub and nice comment. The reamers needed are two, one being for large primers and the other for small. The thread is the same on both. Within 24 hrs I will update the description with a price list. Take care. 👍 👍
