so far the only drawback is it doesn't dry as good at we might expect, but the sun and wind may take care of that i suppose, still worth it if you ask me. my aim is to buy one myself . thanks for this brotha
I never saw this type in NJ. We have the good ones that actually use soft twirling brushes/foam ( I guess you call them soft touch) to get the car clean properly. Spots will never come off a car unless there is some rubbing involved.
I would highly recommend getting a titration kit from Lustra for your chemicals(especially the presoaks) so they can be set to the proper dilutions providing good show and cleaning ability without making it too strong.
You voted also let it set soap set longer on vehicle until it starts soft water rinse that would help without going to higher ratio tip ... you can adjust the time on how long soap sits before rinse starts. H
The KL1 is a solid machine. As mentuoned by others, the presoaks look weak. I service a few KL2s. Ideally, a slightly runny over foamy on the presoaks, for better cleaning. Foamy white looks better, but the secong presoak has a harder time cutting through the bubbly foam. And those 341 through 343 conditioners smell great!
FYI I would check on presoak and presoak 2 ...check the tip on utility room injector could be to small you should have different color tips with dilution ratio if not up the pressure until you get a higher ratio tip . H
You should change the Wash names on your Wash select 2 to match your menu board. It would so stupid, but people will complain and say they didn’t get the right one.
It's interesting to see how different brands work exactly the same way. The car wash I go to has two bays with llaserwash 4000's. The only difference is how the owner programs it. He adds an extra pass across the front on the most expensive wash, to get the bugs off.
Most car washes with only have one touchess bay. The others are all hand wash for tunnel wash. The one independent place near me redhead only to Touchless space in one hand wash went out of business at the beginning of the pandemic.
Hey Chris, the presoak looked weak, and also looks like it was coming out at a fast rate. When my pre-soak comes on people can't even see out of the windows as I also air inject my pre-soak. Just something to look at!! Tri-foam looked good. Maybe they just don't air injected the presoak, but customers love a show!! Great job!

Chris man looking brilliant! One thing I would recommend is start your highest price at the top and work downwards as people always read from the top not the bottom.
Someone owns one of those in my neighborhood. I noticed they have automated roller doors. When you pay for the car wash the doors roll up. Then close after you drive your car through the wash. Perhaps to avoid vandalism/tamper proof? Not sure.
@@CarWashChronicles That makes sense but Belanger definitely has a good name in the industry. How good is your relationship with Jiffy Lube could you get them to give out free washes with a code at the end of a oil service and charge them a very discounted rate? The reason I ask is because I got a free wash from a Jiffy Lube one time and I found out it was the best tunnel wash in town because they did a hand dry at the end. I later purchased a monthly membership and have had it for years. I never would have known how good it was if I wasnt given the first wash free.
Glad to see it's all working! A question from a want to be car wash owner; would you divulge the full cost of purchase for your car wash? I’m looking at one over here in the UK and it’s £350k freehold, I have no reference to understand if that’s expensive or not as it's literally the only one around! Love the videos, keep it up!
Thanks Ben. My car washes had no purchase price. They were shut down for a long time so they were worthless. Just entered a lease so all I had was renovation costs. That’s for the self serve. But if you’re talking about the automatic yes I purchased that. I general rule of thumb that I like to go by is 3 times net yearly income. That can give you a rough idea.
No undercarriage rinse? How much extra would it cost for that and how hard is that to install? The Touchless looks great - I think it’s on par with the Shell car washes I go to if not better you seem to have stronger pressure.
Thanks so much. Depends. How busy the road is. My car washes aren’t in the best neighborhoods so depends how bad you’re talking. Also if I had to buy it perhaps not but if I could get it under a lease “for free” then rehab it might be worth it.
I’m assuming you mean just for the auto as I’ve done videos about my self serve bays. It’s all in one bill for the business so won’t be able to tell how much water/electricity is just for the auto. I can estimate though.
From what I mostly see with pay stations like yours, top goes at the very top. And on the pay station even though you bought the top, why did it say express?
