why cant all tutorials be this good, this is simple. easy to follow, you explain everything from really good to knows, to might want to knows to have to knows all before going through with anything, you tell us what will happen if we do different things, you dont say "you have to do this" you say "this is want you want to do, if not you can do this and thisll happen"
@@biggie_boss I appreciate the tutorial that all tutorials should take after, you’ve made something simple and easy to do, even easier to do, which shouldn’t be possible yet here we are
@@biggie_boss ive been trying to install all the mods i have a premium account but one of the mods doesnt exist anymore so i cant complete the download? any tips
Biggie, every day I log in excited but scared to watch your latest vid because I know I'm going to spend the next few days on some new flavour of Skyrim! Love your work, please never stop!
It'll be quite some time before I'm able to follow this guide, but I'm glad that I have it for when that time comes, thank you for creating such a clear and concise tutorial, this is the level of quality that I aim for when I make guides or help friends. Keep up the good work man. I'm hoping to get a job after I *finally* finish up my online school and get my diploma so that I can afford my brother and I good PCs and displays before I go off to college to give back (plus some) what he's given to me after he started working.
The auto-install is sick...multi-thread downloading created by Vector, and in my personal opinion, the latest version (v5 Ascension) is greatly improved over the previous one.
@@biggie_boss I literally installed an auto clicker to help clicking the 1825 mods it had to install but it took so long cause some of them would be slightly lower so I'd have to manually come back and fix it and with limited download speeds and only 10 can download at a time, it really took a while to get it all done but I'm glad I did it hahaha and I'm even more glad I can run it fine, would of been hesrt broken to go through all that and have it run too poorly to enjoy
I remember when I decided to replay Skyrim after 3 years and it took me a solid 8 hours of modding and troubleshooting for ~200 mods. I highly appreciate your video
No crap you droppped tutorial now! Just tought about this modlist and was looking for a guide since I'm lazy & before I typed in search bar I saw this in feed xDDD Thanks.
I'm stuck with my old but proud GTX 1070 with 8GB VRAM and even if I've got 32GB RAM I still cannot get into a full Nolvus installation... I wish I could at least use the interface and animations other core parts so I could keep my own "Wintered edition" of Skyrim _{a perennial snowy and iced cold winter all over Tamriel!}._ This guide anyway would have definitely helped me to do the magic. A truly precious resource!
Wonderful video as always! I ended up choosing nolvus over arisen like you showcased before. im currently downloading the 1800 mods :) Thanks again, keep it brother! 🫂Love you!!!
I want to thank you for this, I spent all day yesterday trying to get the GOG version to work and said f that when I saw this video. I absolutely love this with these mods. Man it's like a whole new game. And I don't have the best pc definetely don't have 32gb of ram or a 2070 lol.Still runs smooth as butter on my potato with the REDUX version. The only issue I ran into was I had to manually download the creation club files but that was so worth it to wake up to the download complete and actually working!
This kind of almost makes the anniversary edition worth buying even if you already have special edition. Even if you could do it on special edition, I kinda want to have a graphically improved vanilla skyrim experience again while it not interfering with my mods for Special edition
awesome work once I'm able to afford a new Graphic card I want to really use this mod pack. It has more of what I'm looking for than Living Skyrim. Awesome to see you do a live stream. Would love to support you if I had the free time. Keep up the good work
@@TrixStix thank you, I actually did get a new video card a couple months ago. Once I get back to my home PC. I'm really looking forward to trying this mod pack.
i just installed it yesterday, so far so good. I have an rtx 2070 with 64gb of ram and a 2tb ssd. I uuuh, died to the first monster i ran into and went back to my first save and lost 30minutes of progress lol. have fun and Jesus Loves You my guy!@@specrtre
Thank you so much for this. It’s people like you who make clear, simple and easy tutorials that make the world a happier and stress free place. Much appreciated ❤
I highly recommend using this over a vortex collection or wabbajack modlist, this took me les than a hour to download, and its over 2,000 mods, insane. the last wabbajack modlist i used with less mods took abt 6 hours
@@biggie_boss yeah true, idk if you made a video on aldrnari but that modlist is pretty good, I just don't like the time it takes to download stuff from wabbajack, but if you put it downloading overnight that basically solves the problem as long as no errors happen.
damn... your internet speed must be insane... I'm in Vietnam and it took me 1 and a half day to download lol, and I'm using Nexus Premium membership...
So, a note for people asking about ultra-high-end systems...I'm running a 4090 ROG STRIX OC and a threadripper 3960x, also OC'd, and 64GB of ram. This entire thing (game, Nolvus, downloads, etc.) are all installed on a 2TB M.2, so no bottlenecks for any type of...well, much at all for what Nolvus asks for. With the Performance Options screen, I'm running Ultra Varient, DLAA, High Skyrim .ini profile, Ultra LODs. Advanced Physics, and Global Illumination are ON and FPS Sabilizer is OFF. With all of this, I average 30-40FPS while running around and 60-70FPS while indoors or looking at the ground, or other short-range areas.
I left my PC on overnight to install all of the mods, last time I checked before going to sleep it was at 22%. When I woke up, I realized that it's still at 22%. I don't think it's supposed to take that long to download a mod.
Thanks for the tutorial it was really easy to follow and download. Relatively smooth process. Earned a like & subscribe. You should create a Nolvus Skyrim series and see it to the very end!
Basic key mapping will get you so far I realized today. I'm just gonna give in and use keyboard. It seams like it's gonna be way better on keyboard anyway. Was hoping a fluid gaming expirence on the TV but eh I'm accepting it xD
@cocacolaforever3776 I using my tv And my controller. Haven't got all the button mapping and I'd have more frames if a had a monitor. But I'm pretty happy with the experience. It's still a hell of a lot better then skyrim on console
ive had nothing but frustration with this modlist haha. Im running an i9, 3080ti, 32gb Ram ,m.2 ssd. I get crazy GPU spikes and freezes, but no crash so there isnt even a crash report. i just see my gpu usage spike to 100 and then it freezes. Have to force quit. im playing at 2560x1440. Im at my wits end lol]
Hello, excellent mod, I just had a problem, when I start the game I can't choose characters, I stay in a room without being able to move or move the camera. any solution? thank you
Appreciate your help, but still stuck on one step! 10:20 At this point in the video, everything works fine until the mods are downloading, they are popping up as individual downloads, where a nexus mods page pops up inside the launcher, where I have to manually slow download mods. This is tedious as there is 2000+ mods to be downloaded. Tried checking the FAQ on there page, but couldn't see anything regarding. Anyone else have this issue?
I keep getting a "Error during integrity checking" message that stops my install. I've verified my game files in steam and says they are correct but still received the error message. I've tried looking for trouble shooting but can't fix it. Any advice or fixes?
Thats so helpful pal... Really appreciate your time to make it easy for many people! Sorry for de silly question but i need to installing MO2 before nolvus or installed automatic is well? Cheers mate ✨👍🏽
Superb guide! Loving the mod, however, I want original skyrim music rather than the new version. Been looking through the updater but not been able to turn it off...
During nolvus dashboard installation, when given the option to change anti-aliasing only TAA is enabled, it says DLAA only for nvidia rtx card. But i have an rtx 4090. Bug??
4:10 I dont get this outcome.... it pops up saying my installation path is too long and I need to copy the updater.exe into a shorter path... I dont understand what that even means. I made a folder I dont have a drive option and put the nolvus updated in my folder but it doesnt work like yours does.
when you open the folder that the Nolvus updater is in, it should look like this at the top of the File Explorer window (the letter "B" is the example letter for the drive I am using) This PC > B Drive (B:) > Nolvus Folder that is the path. only a couple "steps." if your path is too long then you likely put the Nolvus folder in the wrong place.
@@angiewangie7705 ah, so if you don't see a separate section called "Devices and Drives" with storage drives listed, then I am not sure how to help :/ sry
I need some help whenever I try to install I get the Global MOdOrganizer instance detected error code, I have deleted the mo2 applications and I still get this error any tips?
@@biggie_boss I figured it out, my fresh install was in another main directory but Nolvus had the install in a separate drive. It has been 3 years since I got back into modding.
I don't think that my RX 6600 GPU and 16 Ram can handle that HUGE mod. I really want to play the game with this huge mod list but i need to upgrade my system:) good video btw.
everything seems to look right for me in my mod organizer and everything, but when i try to start nolvus it starts to load up but shuts down before it can even really open the game :( ive tried to look at multiple videos and the nolvus website to no avail. does anyone know what i can do?? this is frustrating :(
I have a question! I installed everything I got it to run once and then the mo2 was being really slow and I was testing it again and it went after a few times if me having to close it cause it wasn’t responding and then the next time I tried and every time since it will load to the mo2 and then I hit run and it will show me a empty white box and say not responding, I have 2 notifications that say there’s files in my overwrite (I deleted them all but skse now it won’t work at all abd it won’t let me put them back either) and 1 plugin that isn’t functioning. I am stuck and have no idea what to do, please any help! Is the mo2 broken or the mod load order or the nolvus dashboard?
considering this or vegabond. Problem with vegabond is that it needs 820 GIGS total to install, which is insane and I don't have that much space left... I might put the downloads on an external drive
@@biggie_boss what do you think about Nolvus vs Wunderniik? Does Wunderniik give a shorter playthrough? My main objective is to have a looong dedicated playthough, and so I want as much content as possible, but also nto trash graphics. Wunderniik looks amazing, but I'm not sure on its length (I know you said you are not a fan of quest monds that extend the game) buts its just something I'm looking for.
I already have a modded Skyrim on my HDD with Vortex and mods installed. Do I need to uninstall everything before moving on with getting Nolvus working or would I be okay just doing it anyways? Thanks for the guide!
im quite new to skyrim modding so i just wanna ask, which upscaler do u disable if you wanna install puredark's dlss? i remember theres 2 upscalers in the modlist in mo...and how do you actually update the nolvus if a new update comes out?
Thomas James has a video showing how to add DLSS to Nolvus. For the updater, just run the dashboard. It should auto-detect if there's an update and give you the option :)
I’m doing the auto install currently but when I reach the Performance Options page I don’t have the option to choose my LODs level for some reason. It’s greyed out and stuck on Ultra. Going to try to run Nolvus with 16gb ram and 6gb vram so I don’t think Ultra’s gonna work for me. Any idea why I can’t change it?
Oh wait, I fixed it haha. In case anyone else runs into this issue, I selected the Ultra variant (I was on redux) and then I could change the LODs. Lowered the LODs and then switched the variant back to Redux.
Awesome guide!! I'm new to modded skyrim, I have a 3060ti, and i wish i had given myself the anti aliasing option to downscale my resolution for frames... only getting 50 FPS even on low ini ... Is the only way to do this delete the instance and re download the whole lot?? 😢
FYI: this Mod Installer, Nolvus, does NOT make the game look like all the videos people are putting up online. Nolvus ONLY slightly upgrades the NPC polygons and along with all the addons provided. Please do not be fooled by the videos going around. It's just a slightly enhanced stiff-looking Skyrim, that's it
Now you're spreading misinformation worse than those RU-vidrs lol. Nolvus uses high poly models in the Ultra version. Go look up some of my Nolvus videos.
so I tried the auto installer and mine froze at 98% of all the mods installed and won't progress despite all the attempts i've made to troubleshoot. That said do you think I could just manually drop the downloaded files into the mods folder under Nolvus? or is their any way you know of to go back to the manual installation page (i'm a nexus premium user now so it doesn't show me that page anymore) any suggestions appreciated
If the Instance Auto Installer in the Nolvus Dashboard get hung up can I just close it and then re-open and it will figure itself out and continue or do I have to start all over again? I got to 53% complete (979/1823 mods) and it is now not continuing. At about 47% complete, there was one in the list called "BDOR Nova Pack by NA (v1.0)" that says "Error detected, waiting for the queue to finish". but it kept installing other mods until there were 3 in the list one of which is the BDOR one and its frozen. Not sure what I should do.
I don’t get what you did I literally installed it unzipped it to the downloads then I opened it and I can find the output so I cut it and put it in the drive and it’s not opening no more 🤷🏽♂️
Im doing this now but manually installing them and now going through the mod list there is 2059 mods i started at 10pm its now 3:30am and i barely have 500 mods out of the 2059 lmao what gamers wont do for a better experience 😂
@biggie_boss I'll give it a try. I've been getting the itch to start a new playthrough but have been dying to eventually upgrade to a new pc to enjoy all the new mods coming out. Damn financial responsibilities getting in the way. lol
I keep getting a root drive error and can't figure out where it goes, moved the thing to D: and still doesn't work, keeps saying Folder D:\Nolvus but I can't make a folder with slashes or semicolons EDIT: just make a new file in C drive and name it A or something, click installer update, click scissors, head to folder "A" and click the Clipboard (i.e. cut/paste)(not copy paste so that it actually moves the data over)
Does this mod list work with a controller or will i be handicapped for using one? Im new to Pc gaming and im terrible with Mouse and keyboard so using them is uncomfortable for me cause of it. Its always been like that for me. Even in middleschool i sucked in keyboard typing class lol
You know, I was this close to installing the list until I saw that it was asking for my PERSONAL API key for Nexus. Given that it's closed source, I have no idea how that API key is being used, and I don't feel comfortable with this at all.
It would be good if they at least explain why the personal key is needed. I'm able to download and endorse through MO2, which doesn't need that level of access.
I only have 6gb of vram, so I was going to install Nolvus Lite, but it looks like the only options with the auto installer are Ultra and Redux? Is it possible to install Lite with the auto installer?
I don't know why, but my ''download all'' button doesn't download all, and even if I install everything manually as soon as I close Creation Club, it forgets everything I just did. Like the download just didn't happen. I've been going tutorial after tutorial for a week and I still can't see what I'm doing wrong.
Hi, I got a problem in the last step. Guide says "Select NOLVUS in the right drop down list and click on RUN to launch the game", but I don't have Nolvus there in MO2. Any ideas? Thanks :)
Awesome guide! Only one question. When installing Nolvus with MO2, does Nolvus install a NEW MO2, Use the MO2 you currently have installed but use a separate mod profile, or does it combine all the mods with any mods you currently have installed to MO2?
@@biggie_boss Aye, thanks pal! That's a relief P.S: You CANT have a global entry of MO installed. If you do, go to your MO in your user files, delete it, then re-install MO to make it an individual download instead.
