Husq 430XH boundary wire question :: When installing along a property line with no barrier/fence how far should the wire be set so it cuts right to the property line and not over ? You have the standard 4", 14", 16" measurements but they're for obstacles. I calculated 8". Thanks, loves your vids, huge help!

We usually go 10 inches just because there are times the grass gets a little longer and the front bumper pushes it down and it does not stand back up in time for the blade to cut it. When we go 10 inches this gives the mower a better chance at cutting those blades of grass in the situation just mentioned.

@@EshlemaniaTV I just purchased a 430xh. I am self-installing. Prior to purchase I watched a lot of videos and read the Husqvarna Operators manual and Quick Guide. All of these reference boundary wire offset measurements of 4, 12 and 14 inches. The manuals that came with my mower reference those as well. When I purchased the mower from my dealer, they loaded everything in my car (without the box) and they handed me a cardboard ruler cutout (presumably from the box mine came in) - but this ruler has 4, 14 and 16 inch references. Why does my Quick Guide and everything else I have seen mention 4/12/14, while both the cardboard ruler handed to me by the dealer and the poster in this thread mention 4/14/16 inches? Did husky switch measurements for some reason? I already started installing in my back yard using the 4/12/14 references - I hope I dont have to redo everything...yikes!

sorry for bringing up this topic again, but my 450x is bringing up a ultrasonic error message. is it likely the sensors or the board?, i toggle it off and on , but the speed of the automower stays the same. if i go into the menu and test the sensors they have both fail. thanks

Can you set the ultrasonic sensor based on the zone or location? I.e. slow down the mower in one zone.
