On this segment of The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation, Adam Yamaguchi meets with William Santana Li, CEO of Knightscope, to learn more about the security robot that's keeping property safe.
This autonomous robot uses sonar, lasers, cameras, and more to help aid security guards in places like malls, warehouses, and hospitals. Knightscope also has a bigger, multi-terrain robot that can handle larger environments like the perimeter of an airport or an air force base.

Dystopian crap. Such things can not overflow to the people, which reveals their meaning and purpose. Such things cause more problems than they bring benefit and still they are used. These things fall over on the slightest incline or cannot drive on certain areas. But it's just about getting people used to these things so that in the future they can send their terror robots onto the streets to oppress people. Particularly stupid and harmful rules could be refused by human police officers, robo cops refuse nothing and they have no mercy, etc. These things are absolutely unprofitable, but are still used by corporations that are demonstrably closely linked to politics. So you can assume that there is an agenda trying to force these things on us. In the end they will probably be ´´alive´´ or something and attack (for whatever reason) the people. All other beings that suddenly come to life like Pinocio are not trying to reduce the world population, except for robots, where it is constantly claimed that they want to kill us all (up to 500 million) as soon as they are able to do so. Tons of movies are being edited to put that image in people's minds. So one can assume that it is planned in a similar way.

@@activesuper4227 Movies about robot uprisings are fictional, you can't learn things from them because the things shown in them haven't actually happened. if you don't want a robot uprising don't make the robots sentient, or at least give the sentient ones limits to their actions, also, companies may only care about money but if they wan't to sell their product they need to make it good.

Did they show an example of how this works? I heard "laser"? Maybe something that will heavily stun, similar to Star Trek?

that first robot looks like it would be down for the count if it toppled over (or was pushed over).

So as a species we decided to craft Daleks from Doctor Who, if these this arm themselves and try to wipe us out, we we only have ourselves to blame. Remember, science fiction often times becomes science fact.

just like there's cons with humans, there are cons with robots... A robot can't do CPR, a robot can malfunction, is there any human interaction? I wouldn't be surprised if someone hijacked the robot, spray painted another color, and turn it into a walking boombox.

I hope nobody decides to mix some paint and motor oil with some sand and pours it all over that thing, especially not over the lenses that could be bad..I really hope they aren't wearing a covid mask and hoodie when they do it or they'll never be caught!! Those materials are also very cheap, much cheaper than these POS bots and repair costs..I'm sure if that happened a couple times ppl would get awful sick of paying for these useless things...If they also paid cash for the motor oil, black paint and sand mixture they'd definitely never get caught, lets just hope nobody thinks of pouring this extremely cheap and easy mixture on these highly intrusive and unnecessary bots
