The yellow background means it’s an interview. The genius interviews asks for lyrics and most artists add some music similarity to explain the lyrics more
@@thebroglefamily3992 No, there's a miscomception, there is layering used by a lot of artists but not everybody use autotune. It's only for those who sing false
@@thebroglefamily3992 I know a bunch of artists who don't use autotune, you should think twice before commenting incorrect things. And I am not saying there's no work in a studio to make the recording better. I just say they don't use all the "Autotune" software, they can add different fx that can change the voice, a lot or not.
@@quentin6893 look it up. So many’s pieces including reliable ones say auto tune is found in 99% of all artists work. Idk who these artists yk are but I think you need to do some research. Like I said it’s not a bad thing tho of they use auto tune
@Korletonix Can’t*, plus you should have had a comma, or if you don’t know what that is. Here’s a comma: , . But anyways you should have had a comma after grammar. Plus just stay out of this shit, I’m just correcting that guy. Or maybe you don’t understand the word correcting, too bad. And also, it’s*
@Korletonix And stop thinking you’re some kind of goofy ahh superhero, baboon ahh karen. Like, don’t you have anything better to do? like shut up. These Ipad kids are getting crazier and crazier these days…
@@Playermex2 he technically is, when he sings he tilts his head slightly back to cut off the air flow out, giving that breathless rasp sub urban has when he sings
the differences you’re hearing have very little to do with autotune. there’s a big difference between singing without accompaniment or harmony in a dry room with no effects and a fully arranged, produced, and polished radio-ready track
But funny thing it's not all of it only starts sounding a bit off at "long ago" well it is Acapella and he just doesn't sound that good like that, i do love the studio version.
It's actually done on purpose. He said that life's like an onion, with so many layers but then there was another song called life goes onion so he changed it
The amount of respect I have for having 4 clips all the way through individually as to not trick people into watching the video 4 times is immeasurable
*This is one of the first autotune video shorts that I found that actually shows all the autotune vs no autotune* *Edit: why is this comment so popular and why are people arguing in the replies*
@@andiandi9202 How do you know that creators in this video sound indifferent than they would sound with autotune? And how do you know that Travis sounds unlike in his autotune concerts?
Half of the effect is actually just reverb and echo back ground or other effects just to add more width or amplitude to the signing. They actually singing mostly in tune by themselves so the "auto tune" is basically non existent. Great artists.
Yea legit. I think people just don’t understand how much goes into mixing. Auto tune is such a specific feature, and there’s seemingly none of that here.
It's not autotune. It's pitch correction. It's a lengthy process of editing vocals where you edit split seconds at a time to make their voice more harmonic.
Exactly. Any good production is labeled "autotune" these days but what most of these RU-vidrs who don't really know about music don't realize is, the most excessive "autotuning" or pitch correction(the right word) is the most unnoticeable one.
