I ordered this yesterday so this has been helpful. I have a RAM Promaster and want to keep an eye on my mountain bikes while driving and also when parked at night.
Very informative - thanks. I fitted an Autovox V5 Pro in my van a couple of years ago and it too has been excellent. I use mine as a permanent rear view camera so that I don't have to rely solely on the side mirrors on the van. When I select reverse the image automatically changes to reverse mode, with guidelines like yours, which is really useful. My only gripe is, when using it at night, lights on following vehicles tend to make the screen image 'flare' which makes it difficult to see what is behind. However, it is a great bit of kit and I wouldn't be without it.

I'm glad I had my camera on the other day that I got rear ended by a bus!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fortunately no big deal, just some green paint on one of the panniers and a sore back for a day!!!! 😎

waa no vid of you driving and seeing what it looks like. thinking how much shake etc always nice to know who is tailgate'n you or such. and it gives you an added camera angle for your vids.
Hi Does it say anywhere what the input voltage of the solar to camera? Hopd its a standard DC jack? Thinking if choose to hardwire camera in on back of an touring caravan
Hi & thanks for the comment, interesting one. There's no Jack just a micro USB charging port & looking through the technical spec it’s clear the cameras designed for wireless use (battery/solar). I'm struggling to understand why you'd want to or even need to, we've used the previous version for 14mths & it’s been pretty faultless despite taking a battering this year on shockingly bad roads & extreme temperatures .👍😀
Why are all these cameras coming with a monitor? I already have my cell phone mounted to the dash. Don't even want or have room for a monitor. Plus obviously they could lower the cost without it.
