O'Reilly's has more knowledgeable sales staff and more parts that I need, but when they use the same vendor, like an engine long block that needs to be ordered, Autozone costs a little less. Both give Veteran discounts of 10% also.

i took my battery to get it recharged auto zone told me it was no longer good i took to Oreillys for a second opinion they charged it with in minutes it turned out good.

They charged up 2 solar batteries for me too. They took a few days to charge but the guy was so nice and he got them charged. No cost to me.

As somebody who frequents parts houses, I can say that O'Reilly's and NAPA have the best quality parts, O'Reilly has a wider selection, and NAPA has more hard to find components. I'd only shop at AutoZone if they had brand name parts in stock that I couldn't find elsewhere, I won't even go to Advance. There's a clear disparity.

I use O'Reilly on the regular, if they don't have what I need, I go to NAPA. I used to like autozone but MANY times of dealing with complete incompetence from the staff at the local store led me to avoid autozone if at all possible. Plus O'Reilly and NAPA are both really good about working on getting the price down. With autozone, you get the price on the box, period.

I work for O'Reilly's and I want you to know I don't get jealous if we don't have the part and you have to go to AutoZone but they can't say the same about us. The O'Reilly's philosophy is we are friendly FIRST and we help you find what you need to make you happy.

O’Reilly’s is the best. I’ve sold boat trailer lights and propellers with paper catalogs working there. The production crew for the Ozark Crew that produced that show would walk in needing this or that and we would always pull through with ideas.

O'Reilly Auto tends to be better all things considered. Their parts are both on par in terms of quality, but as someone who's been to both O'Reilly tends to have a better computer system that seems better able to actually find parts.

O’Reilly. Almost always more competent people who seem to understand what I’m asking for. More name brands available so I know what I’m getting vs. reboxed marked up “value line” crap in the DuraLast box. And then there’s Napa, because if I need a rebuilt part like a starter, alternator, or power steering pump, I trust them by reputation and personal experience to use good rebuild suppliers with good quality control. (Nothing I hate worse than an alternator that fails in two months or a starter that doesn’t even last two years, and I’ve had good luck with Napa and not-so-good luck from other places.) People also talk about Advance, and while I prefer them to Autozone (even though the stores LOOK exactly the same inside and out), they don’t fill any particular niche for me other than cross-shopping, couponing, or as a backup if none of several Napa and several O’Rielly near me have what I need in stock. Finally, if I have time to wait, I absolutely love Rock Auto dot com.

I’m torn. if I’m in my home town I’m going to AutoZone 5/7 days a week due to my neighbor being there and always having the knowledge of what part I need and repair help if I need it. If it’s the weekend (when she isn’t working) or I’m out of town I’m going to O’Reilly every time. Even though I bought 4 bad water pumps from O’Reilly for my 08 Silverado. All of them had either a bad backing plate or were blowing out of the weep hole. Finally got a good one though!

Growing up Autozones in my area just dominated, oreilly’s didn’t have as many locations. If my local Autozone didn’t have a part they would check with the 4 other local stores that are minutes from each other. So my dad and I would get parts quicker. The only oreillys I knew about usually didn’t have what we needed.

If between the two AutoZone for sure. O’Reilly near my house is arrogant and rude staff so I have to drive across town to go to one of the other O’Reilly stores. My first preference is Napa then AutoZone then Advance Auto then O’Reilly. Definitely Napa and AutoZone for the tools too. But also AutoZone and Napa are the furthest away though and in absolutely bad parts of town lol. At work we mostly use Advance Auto and AutoZone because they are right next door to us. I’m on the east coast in Virginia so all those people saying we don’t have O’Reilly is wrong lol. Every old Hollywood Video store here on the east coast seems to be a O’Reilly haha.

Oreillys for Standard products which would make it my go to and Autozone for their Duralast Brake products and surebilt exhaust parts and the surebilt cheap tools sometimes. Surebilt breaker bar and vice grip set are decent enough to get by in a pinch and cheap as hell

Our O'Reilly's store in Loretto TN is horrible. I've been there the last 6 times and they didn't have what I needed. I always have to shop at NAPA.

The most expensive is NAPA, second expensive is O'Reilly's, third is Autozone (I hate their Duralast brand). Adavce Auto has better quality parts and better prices. If you can wait for the part, I suggest ordering it online because it will be a lot cheaper than any stores in town and will be best in quality.

P0335 code. Bad Crank Position Sensor. Bought a CPS from Auto Zone and the code immediately returned. Returned and replaced and the code immediately returned. Chances of getting two bad CPS's is unlikely, so replaced PCM and the code returned. Replaced CPS with OEM and the code went away. Auto Zone cost me $500 unnecessarily.

Autozone looks better when you walk in they have more of the little things you need to grab and go better choices when it comes things like that example the brake cleaner the red can I hate the green can it’s not as strong but the autozone workers a lot of the time just don’t know what there doing sometimes managers are stupid and rude they are on every corner so if your battery dies you can go down to any corner and swap it but oreillys does have better air filters like wix and moog for suspension parts a name brand besides there own store parts so you know it’s a better quality brand less people in the store so usually in and out fast better belts like gates and hoses if you get a belt from autozone that shit will squeak in a few days but yeah for sure you can get better parts at oreillys I live closer to auto zone but will drive the extra miles to oreillys

O'Riley's for me. AutoZone might be cheaper but that's why their parts have crappy quality. O'Riley's people do know what they're talking about. They do know more and they're friendlier and always have what I need. With AutoZone I had to take the parts I bought from them back cuz it didn't work. this happened 3 times. So I stopped going to AutoZone. Now I always go to O'Riley's. In Texas, O'Riley's and AutoZone are always next to each other or pretty close to each other.

Autozone is called Vatozone Oriellys is all about parts and not accessories Autozone is more like Pepboys they sell more accessories. I’m for O’Reillys, here in Texas youngster work at Autozone which don’t have experience in the automotive industry I’ve been working in the automotive industry since 1994 and about 95% of the time at dealerships.

, oriellys is much better. friendlier people especialy the one i go to luis the parts specialist always greets everone at the door and since me and my husband are retired and disabled he actualy helps me with my purchase to the car. so oriellys all the way. i use to go to autto zone but found oriiellys to be the best in that field thanks luis at oriellys on spring mtn and jones in las vegas.
