I agree with you on the sweaters, some nice choices there. Wool trousers are very classy too. Personally, I recommend a blazer as an Autumn essential, especially something double-breasted.
As a male, over ten years ago I was influenced by Alexa Chung (cringe) to get a Barbour Jacket. It was an effortless city-come-country item. I wore it nearly every day at Uni for 3 years. It still stands in my wardrobe today and although I wear it less, I imagine in will remain in my wardrobe for many, many years to come. Barbour can re-wax it (at a cost) and I added a removable hood to it over time.
Oh yeah, I agree. I hate summer because it's so hot in southern France (42 degrees Celsius last week) that you can't wear anything. I enjoy fall and winter because I can wear jeans, overshirts, my new The Real McCoy's Bomber MA-1, Solovairs, hoodies etc.
I can only recommend the Uniqlo "Barber Jacket". I picked it up in London a couple weeks ago and it has been my go-to jacket ever since. The fit is just the right combination of boxy and cropped and I can't complain about the quality (with the added bonus of my girlfriend absolutely loving it). I would in no way be surprised if this ends up becoming one of the more popular pieces this FW season.
You sure love wearing black Harry haha, I'd say getting jeans in an indigo/charcoal wash are just as good as well. Then with jumpers/hoodies, getting them in burgundy, navy, olive green and rust orange look great if you want to add a bit of colour. An interesting point I've found with boots is that while black boots go really well with all types of trousers, they look even better with charcoal/black jeans. Then with brown boots they go really well with blue jeans.
Seeing this video makes me wanna wear my own fall items. But it's almost 30 degrees Celsius over here, nearly all week. 🥵 I'm so done with summer right now. But it was a great video Harry as always.
i have the solovair derby boots and they’re worth every penny. They’re extremely comfortable and the sole is solid af, i use them for work and my feet don’t hurt
I only have two jumpers, both navy crew neck. One is cotton and used for occasions which may involve heavy soiling (war, spaghetti etc) as it is washable. The other is cashmere and is worn on occassions when I might encounter the pope or a member of the royal family, but _only_ in a location low in moth activity.
Thankful I found out about this channel, when I need inspiration for a smarter outfit for an occasion, where I can't just where whatever I'm comfortable with (social stigma succs tbh). I tend to lean towards baseball jerseys and hoodies when going out, and not really comfortable with dressier clothing, but thanks to Harry, I'm getting the hang of it (I think 😂). Grateful for the tips and boost of confidence with what I choose to wear.
like the content on your channel you are elegant in the old money style, fashion guidelines are important to improve your personal style, of course being elegant involves not just fashion but personal style, elegance is born with the person and mida is the complement✨💫
Duuuude I was out shopping at the mall today so frustrated and come home to THIS video. You're awesome. (From a former Redditch lad living in the USA).
@harryhas if you love everything about a shirt save for the length, don’t be afraid to pick it up and have it tailored. The length of that corduroy short could be very easily tailored to your preference and shouldn’t cost you hardly anything. Then you’ve got a custom piece for little investment. Just a thought. Great suggestions here. Cheers!
Love these vids, so much inspiration. I’m starting to tailor/design my own clothes, I might just mail you your perfect corduroy overshirt one day soon, cause now I want one too
I absolutely adore my Barbour; the weight and quality really are second to none. Mine serves as a hiking/fishing jacket, my work jacket, a rain coat, a statement piece, and a semi formal top. I can’t think of any other piece with the versatility of a Barbour.
If you wanted a wax cotton jacket but didn't want to go down the Barbour route, maybe try Peregrine clothing. I got one of their Bexley jackets a few years ago and I'm really happy with it. It's worn in really well. They're also my go to for woolly jumpers as well. And all Made in the UK so that's a bonus from a sustainability point of view.
Love the Barbour Spey Jacket! The Korean brand "Frizmworks" has a cool heritage hunting jacket. Their jackets/cardigans are usually quite boxy and cropped.
I just picked up a Barbour jacket, I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet because we still have summer weather where I am. But the quality seems immaculate, I’d go with a Barbour over Uniqlo.
Viron had a summer sale as did many online/B&M stockists of the boots. I ended up buying two pairs from a Danish place and I can't stress enough that it was the deal of the summer. Something like a 70% reduction because they were part of the drop being discontinued.
Hey, great video. I have been checking on Varsity jackets. I have to say, there are not many that I like, to be honest. I quite like a Varsity jacket with leather sleeves, Gant has got an amazing one, bit pricey, though : (
Barbour are great and a well run company valuing their employees and hoping they stay that way. Barbour trooper in black an green ( repairs add character) plus vintage Barbour duffel are uk essentials. Used to have some dept b Barbour and TOKIHITO YOSHIDA collaborations which ran smaller like international but you can only wear so many jacket or have a finite amount of wardrobe space 😅 A little re wax and good as new for someone else. I don’t miss them at all, honest 😢This autumn look ahead has me penciling in some wardrobe rejigging 😊
Hello Harry, I love your videos, they've helped me a lot in making decisions and correcting mistakes. Now I'm looking for a coat, and I wanted to know what size is your A Day's March coat, so I can guide my online purchase (I'm 1.77 centimeters tall and have a similar build to yours). Thanks
Great, now I am into Babour again 😂🙏🏻 great suggestions Harry and we do have a very similar taste. One more vid to go to keep up, you have a great new week mate 😊🙏🏻 Oh, in regards of corduroy shirt in green Uniqlo has them in their collection every year maybe this could be something for you?
hey harry, love your videos so much they're quite relaxing and love your accent haha I wanted to ask to you If you use make up? and if you do can you explain your beauty routine on any video? 🖤
Good to hear mate. Glad you like them. I don’t use any makeup but I have a skincare routine. I have a video on the channel about it that I did not long ago 👍
Thanks for the recommendation. I’m not a huge fan of Zara. Haven’t shopped there in years as wasnt impressed with their quality. I know a lot of people rate them these days though
I saw COS had a green corduroy when I stopped by a shop yesterday. The green was close but might be slightly on the brighter side. Worth checking if you have one near you
FYI the images that you criticised. As a regular customer of Thom Browne they do alterations of all their pieces, as they have very skilled tailors they work with. You can choose how you like their pieces to fit.
What can you say about Levi’s 510 ? Love Chelsea’s ( different style for winter & summer) love sweaters for fall / winter & of course overcoats ( wool or cashmere blend) love PRL but not practical for me nowadays to support his name , lots of other brands have same material & styles. Unless I win the lottery lol 👍❤️😜
Dang I just sold my Barbour waxed coat and now I'm having slight regrets haha. I;m so ready for overcoats again this year, my one is about 10 years old though so I'm gonna need to pickup a new one!
Another thing I bought a lovely overcoat from massimo Dutti It was beautiful for the first little while But for some reason after a few months it doesn’t pop like it used to Could you do a video or share some tips on keeping an overcoat sharp?
@@HarryHas I spent hundreds of dollars on Asket the last few years. Appreciate the quality of course…..but they are sooo basic / boring / not-special. Zero personality. Gave all my pieces to my nephew. Our Goal: less stuff. Quality. Some design detail. Keep up the great work. Always look forward to your new uploads 🙏🏼
Lack of cash to buy new clothes.... Sometimes I dip my toe in watching fasion videos and then stop for a while..Nothing to do with the channel @@HarryHas
It's so crazy. You're basically just describing my fall looks I got the Barbour jacket, cardigan, wool trousers, Dr. Martens 1460 and Chelsea boots and more corderoy Overshirts than I can handle. So could you please stop making this stuff popular, I don't want everyone to dress like me next fall XD
