I did it! It was a challenge for me because shapes are intimidating, but the deer actually turned out beautifully, I like the way you showed how to paint it. I thought this one was beyond my capabilities, but it kept beckoning me so I had to try it. It turned out to be one of my favourites!

Love this one. Do u wipe off or clean your big bristle brush while u are blending all the colors for backround or do u just turn the brush to the cleaner side. Do u usually go from light to dark when blending like this? Thank u so much in advanced

I've just watched the tutorial and plan to do (I mean, attempt to do) this one. I've just finished a painting so am looking for inspiration -- thanks to this showing up on my feed this morning, I've found my inspiration. Autumn is my favorite time of year. I love forests and forest animals. This painting ticks all the boxes!

OK, I've just finished my version of this painting! I didn't try to do an exact copy though I did use your paint colors and I did try to get the background as closely to yours as I could. I drew the deer in a different stance and added some sun rays cutting through the trees and onto the water. Your painting says 'professional & gifted' and mine says 'She tried', LOL. I wasn't able to source 'Bordeaux red' and had to use a dark burgundy. Does anyone know what the closest substitute for Bordeaux red is or how to mix it? I've never seen it in the art shops I've frequent here in Ireland and it wasn't available on Amazon UK.
