Beautiful photos. There's nothing better than waking up beside a river and being able to spend the day photographing it. Here in Australia my husband and I spend up to 8 months of the yr travelling in our 4x4 and caravan. I get up early or stay up late to photograph the milky-way, but I get to see a lot more of nature than most. I just love it. Enjoy your van and happy snapping
Thank for this. s I now live in West Sussex, I miss home so much, I've regretted the moves. Seeing my old stomping grounds in all their beauty brings a tear to my eye.
Glad to see you back on UTube. I thought i was subscribed to your channel and i am now. Good old Dartmoor it never fails to deliver. You captured some really nice image's. Look forward to the next one.
I watch a lot of photography videos. This just popped up on my suggestions, so I started watching (and subscribed!). What initially caught my eye was you make a coffee the same way my wife does - a full kettle for one cup! I live on the N tip of Dartmoor, but I didn't recognise where you were. You certainly got some nice images. I'd like to get out into Dartmoor again, but it's picking the times - it just rains so much here in Devon!
Hi Ben, Great to see you back. I enjoyed your video. Happy you found your tree. It is very impressive. I just purchased the same Leofoto head a few weeks ago but have not had the chance to use it yet.
You guys have absolutely nice scenery in the UK. Love those twisted trees. Great images too Ben! Also have the Leofoto head since a couple of years. I would never go back to a ballhead after using the VH30R.
Really absolute fantastic images! I think Dartmoore is an impressive foto location! Since I‘m from Germany it‘s a long way, but I have to visit it sometime! Thanks for your what3words location, but with this you are landing in the Antarctica 😂😂😂
How weird, I was talking to someone a few days ago about landscape toggers I used to watch who don't produce content these days - and I mentioned your name... and here you are back on the tube!. Nice watch Ben, welcome back.... lovely area to film and some cracking images.. glad you found the tree, the scene was well worth taking. Couple of techie questions.. did you use a lut for the video footage? Also I know you used to sue a Panny S1R yewars ago - is is still the same camera as I recall it being a bit of a chunky beast - I had one from Panasonic for a month before getting the S5 when it came out originally? Atb Alan
Thanks so much! Making them when I can, which is good. Videos shot in fLog2 on my Fujifilm XH2s and colour graded in Da Vinci, and I don’t use limit anymore. I am Fujifilm through and through now
Hi Ben great to see you back posting vlogs on YT, don't leave it so long next time 😂 You captured some fantastic images in Dartmoor it's a location I've only visited once but plan to return in the future. I've seen a few photographers using the black mist filter. I'd like to know if the same effect can be replicated in PS/LR by applying an Orton effect 🤔 I generally only use one filter the polariser and occasionally ND filters if I need to achieve a slower shutter speed
Thanks so much! I guess you can replicated it in post absolutely, and they tend to be filters I use for my video work, but seemed to work quite well on this occasion! ☺️👍 Thank you for the support
@@BenKapurPhotographyHave you switched to Fuji? (apologies if you've mentioned it in one of your promo video's) Is that the XH2 or XH2s you were using?
OK. I know this location and managed to find the tree (or at least see it) but I can't figure how to get to the spot you shot it from. There doesn't appear to be a path. Any clues (without giving away the location)? :-)
Great video Ben, it came up on my RU-vid suggestions. I watch a lot of Landscape Photography channels and I really enjoyed yours. Could I ask what camera and lens you are using?
@@BenKapurPhotography awesome, I currently have the Sony A7iv and I’m saving for a wide angle lens. Also thanks for mentioning the tripod as I’m sick of my ball head one. I wish you all the best!! Keep up the great work!
Coming from Cornwall I’ve often wanted to shoot on Dartmoor but haven’t managed as yet, partly because I thought it was mostly barren hills! But this river walk looks stunning, can you share any info on the area? Understand it you don’t want to. Enjoyed the video.
It's the river Plym just down the hill from Shaugh Prior. The car park is on Google maps, and it's called Dewerstone Car Park. The rock in the "if I'm not mistaken" is called the Dewerstone. If you park in the car park, cross the wooden bridge, and turn right, you'll eventually come to it.
Brilliant short film! Just found yourself on Instagram through a little collab you did with Jack Lodge. Do you film everything on a second DSLR? do you fill multiple SD cards filming each walk Ben ? Im using an osmo at the minute but battery life is poor 😫 Cheers from not to sunny Lancashire. Tom
