As a fellow wood furnace feeder, I get the smoke scented hair. In the morning, still in housecoat and slippers I trudge to the basement to do battle with the Behemoth. Before benefit of coffee I have to choose between 5 different splitting implements, depending on what piece of wood I have to bash. Dry birch? The long handle maul. Fir? The short handle maul. Cedar for kindling? The short, light, fine headed axe. My windows look like we smoke a pack a day, blue haze. For lighting, sawdust soaked in diesel is your friend. Sprinkle it on like parmesan, toss a match. Once when the power went out at dinner time I wrapped the roast in tinfoil and threw it in the furnace. Burnt the hell out of it. Love your vids. Stay warm!
This was really special for me Thea, I just thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Blessed Autumnal days to you with all the crunches and sparkles and fresh chills.
Haha, yeah I did pass it on to a friend a while ago but It's weird that you mention it because I've recently been thinking about it again. Perhaps the time wasn't exactly right. I rarely get decks back once they've left for one reason or other but this may ed up being a special case. lol xx
I love the little fireplace behind you. Do you know how I'd find something similar for my art studio? :) also the flower candle... where? really liking your vibe. we have similar tastes
Really enjoyed hanging out and hearing about your decks. The Les Vampire is one of my favorites too, I’ve been working with it this month too. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤
Great video, Theia! I Purchased the Arthur Rackham oracle inspired by one of your previous videos, but now I may also purchase the corresponding tarot deck. I love the strangeness of his art. For me, it actually feels like a Halloween deck, even though it isn’t. And then, inspired by this video, I just purchased the faerytale oracle. I will say the art style is not something I would normally migrate to, but I love the idea of revisiting characters from fairytales and having those messages come through.
Great video! I got the Edmund Dulac this summer and just couldn't resonate with it, but your mini-walkthrough motivated me to look at it again and I certainly have a new appreciation for it. I think it was seasonally off at the time it came. Now it seems to be in its element. Thanks you for mentioning it!
What a great assortment. Ooh where'd you find the indie decks in a shop? I think we're both in Ontario - I've only found indie decks in shops here in Hermit's Lamp (Toronto) and Mystical Paths (Bancroft - here they were OOP decks on consignment / 2nd hand sale, most on the shelves were mass market).
Oh I'll make note of the one in Bancroft for the next time I'm up there! The one I went to was in Whitby, Crystal Bliss, right downtown on Brock St. It was wild, so many decks!
Great video Thea.. Always enjoy your content. Your Hellenic Oracle has been my favourite this autumn..I have the expansion pack coming anytime now.. Loving your deck..it's beautiful. ❤❤
Really loved getting to know a bit about the Baroque Deck, thanks! We're going into summer 'round here, but I'll be putting it into my wishlist for next year. 😊
I feel like Dulac is everything I wished the John Bauer was. I knew I wanted this deck but seeing it here makes me wonder why I've slept on it. What the heck, me?? ooh, I first saw the Inversion Tarot on @twentytwozines channel! I grabbed it and love it too :) The backs really got me
Haha, I do that all the time, I'll find a deck I've seen around for ages but never REALLY looked at and then realize it's been amaing in secret this whole time! Good news is MM decks tend to hang around for ages so we have ample time to discover them. xx
