D&G are on their 5th or 6th chance! You're entitled to shop and support wherever you want but let's be honest here. That brand is a massive corporation that has repeatedly shown racist, xenophobic and homophobic rhetoric. When it comes to that, they shouldn't have even been given a second chance and as consumers the biggest power we have is our buying power

I love your channel. You are absolutely one of the most intelligent fashion influencers I have yet to come across. With that said, I did find your comments regarding Dolce & Gabbana somewhat insulting as they (as a brand) have repeatedly made mistakes related to inclusion and diversity. It is absolutely no one else's place to tell you what brands to support. I respect that, however, I don't feel that your statement hit the right way to those who are a part of the groups highlighted/targeted in the racist/sexist behavior they have participated in.

I do believe in second chances to People and don’t like cancel culture on people. Well at least not permanently. However, corporations/business -yes. Why? It is basically the only leverage we have as consumers to keep them in their toes. It isn’t until we get in their pocket that they stop problematic behavior. There is no moral police, so we as consumers need to hold them accountable and support business that are making money the right way. I never cared to spend in Starbucks because they gave health insurance to their part time workers. But you will never see me in Walmart, and I don’t care how cheep their stuff is. Even with inflation I rather buy less from places that I feel good supporting so that more business realize there is value in treating your employees right, being good to the environment, to the communities you do business in, diverse, etc. because we as consumers have a choice and we will use that choice to hold business accountable.

People are given second chances when they apologize and try to change their problematic behavior, but D&G has never even tried to change their behavior so why even bother with them? And let's be honest, this wouldn't exactly be their 2nd chance, more like their 5th or 6th chance...and what do we always get told to do to people who keep hurting us over and over again? Cut them out of our lives.

Literally d&g has been called out so many times (not just once or twice)… they never change or learn. I def would not support them regardless of how nice I find their pieces, there are so many other non problematic designers who could use that support

Looking at your pretty clothes makes me happy for the fall, but in real life I'm prefer summer, will wear those clothes as long as possible. MY Favs for yoru haul are the gray The ROW sweater on you the color, shape size are perfect. Also the black Dolse & garbana bustier looks stunning and high class. The Row dress is to die for. That's a classic you can pass down generations. I think it would look good on anyone. Plus the Row has the best manuacturing practices, I admire them. You will have a sparkle winter, for sure.

I get the nostalgia for the corset. The designers however have shown horrible behavior more than once and have tried to play it off. Something the Italian press is known for. They love to gaslight. However, D&G makes amends 💰 with who they dress. Gotta love fashion

Loved all the sweaters, loved the black pants with the mesh waist. All the black tops with cut outs were so your style, loved the cut out blazer. If I saw this style in any shop I’d think instantly of you. I’m sure a lot of people would find the tops too risqué but on you it’s very chic, as I always say, I love your style. When are you doing a closet tour? Can’t wait to see that.

Not sure how heavy the Loewe knit is, but I definitely see it taking you into those cool spring and summer nights on the Mediterranean as well. As for Dolce and Gabanna, it’s ok to forgive. Last I checked, their stores are still open and thriving in Asia, and I feel like if the one who was directly offended can forgive, the bystanders should let it go as well. That bustier is 🔥🔥🔥

I think most people pick and choose who they give 2nd chances, like I’d never buy d&g or balenciaga…but some people would forgive a brand because they want to feel included and not for their own personal reasons. Some things there isn’t any coming back from and I’ve reached my limits with both of those brands

I absolutely believe in second chances and am against cancel culture, but D&G have had at least 6 or 7 chances by now. They literally paid to be forgiven again. Apparently a flock of Kardashians, Jenners, and some features in Vogue is enough to forgive. But it's also nothing new. Virgil of Off-White has stolen so many designs from young graduate students, and established designers, it's obscene. Go into any top fashion school in the world and you'll find a handful of people that know someone who had their graduate designs stolen by Off White. Yet he had model and celebrity friends so it was okay. He basically admitted he stole designs and called it "remixing." The fashion industry is sadly really messed up. If you have friends in high places, you stay in high places. The young designers don't have anyone to loudly standup for them. Maybe they get Diet Prada if they're lucky, but it's hushed by the endless stream of models and influencers wearing Off-White.

Cancel culture doesn’t exist. Lamenting against “cancelling” is lamenting against free choice and consequences for negative behaviors for one. Secondly, these same people or companies who were “cancelled” are still doing well and successful (minus Chrisette Michelle, IYKYK). That said D&G Has had 3rd, 4th, and 5th chances so you have to question if they really want to do better.
