Hello, friends!
The days are becoming ever-so-slightly shorter, there air has begun to cool, the last of the summer flowers are in bloom-- Autumn is on it's way 🍁
I absolutely love this in-between time, when one can wear sweaters in the mornings and evenings but still soak up the sun in the afternoons. Each day as I check the weather, I feel an eager anticipation for all the coziness of the season to come.
In this video, my best friend and fellow RU-vidr ‪@RandiLynnReed‬ and I make the most of this transitional period while celebrating her first day as a full-time creative! Candle-shopping, bookstore-browsing, nature-walking and more-- this was the very best day. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

The overall production of Morgan Long’s videos is just top notch. Everything is shot beautifully. No matter if the surroundings look dull or not, she makes it a point to make it seem that even natural surroundings can appear as if they’ve come out of a fairytale. Thank you for acknowledging that so many others struggle without the support and privileges often needed to chase their dreams. There is nothing more discouraging than to see someone reach such success all while presenting a veil of hardship and struggle. The truth is that a great number of people are trapped in jobs that make them cry, jobs that are detrimental to both their physical and mental health, but they are not able to choose to walk away because they have children, or are single with no other family support, they have no one to house them or ensure they have food to eat or insurance for the medical care they need. The sad truth is that without those resources and supports, many people will never be able to reach their dreams. Morgan, you have a way of presenting real encouragement and inspiration on every one of your videos without ever seeming insincere and it is greatly appreciated. Thank you for another uplifting and beautiful video.

I love that you can tell Morgan is super conscious of spending and inviting on super fun things but then saying “we can split a $13 pizza! I’ll pay for the second book! You can borrow the first”. Such a good friend. I have a really complex relationship with money and sometimes mention of fun causes me anxiety due to money 🥺

Oh Katie I feel you!! I’ve worked really hard on my relationship with money. There once was a time when I had no money and any transaction would cause me sooo much stress. I can understand about being up for the sunrise. I work nights. And there's this period right before the sun coming up. It's really breathtaking and peaceful. Especially, if you are on a bridge in Portland overlooking everything. You begin to see the world unfolding again. Sometimes it gets me a little choked up.

Omg I live right next to that wildlife refuge!! I would recognize it anywhere since I've been a volunteer there for 5 years! You captured its beauty perfectly :) Also, if you didn't get a chance to check out the gift shop building at the front entrance, you absolutely should next time! There are lots of things I think you would love there, like nature books, cute bird earrings, cozy animal socks, and lots of lovely handmade crafts!

Hi Morgan! I don't think I have ever commented in one of your videos even if I have been watching them for a long time. You have the talent to bring calm and joy, and after watching your videos my mood goes up and I am more appreciative of the life I am living, and how much effort I have put into it to feel fulfilled in it, which I often struggle with. Sometimes I get caught up in my job, which I absolutely love, but as a junior oncologist sometimes I feel it is an endless field (which it really is!) and it can be emotionally very demanding apart from all the study, investigation and scientific stuff we have to do. This just brought me back to earth and how the small things we do are important, and so are the beautiful ones, and being open to appreciate them. Autumn is by far the most beautiful season for me, even though it still feels very much like summer in the city I am from in Spain. I send you the warmest hug you can think of! 🥰
