Yo Ed. I have an 05 Q45 and i hear a click/ snap sound when i put it into reverse or if i begin accelerating from a stop on a hill. Dont know if youve ever experienced this or have any idea what it might be. My trans is shifting fine while driving. It never makes that noise shifting from reverse back to park or drive. The inconsistency of the noise is what confuses me. It also happens if i put her into park on any hill and release the foot brake. If you have any clue what it might be let me know!
I have 2 m45's one is fully loaded with adaptive cruise control and seats with the speakers on the shoulders. My question is how hard is it to switch that over to another base model m45?
I think it's gonna be quite a lot of effort. Some time back I checked a base model and it wasn't presided for some things like the A/C seats, so thete woukd be a lot of wiring and module replacements. Removal on 2 cars and install on at least one (assuming you're parting the other one out and don't need to reinstall the base stuff in it) A labor of love for sure
I have the same problem with my 06 M35, so thanks for this video. Do you know of another way to have direct Ipod connection like they do on 08 and newer vehicles that won't interfere with the factory Nav?
I have heard of options from Grom for example. There's another one with "BT45" in the name, but I can't recall the specifics right now. I think I see more people venturing into the aftermarket headunit option.
