just love the look of the ava bead and all the designs using this bead , however being disabled and on a low monthly income , i can not afford the price of these beads with the amount you get in a tube .... guess i will wait to win the lottery to purchase these beads... glad to see your tutorials Gianna ... as i have always enjoyed them !!!
So glad to see you back special lady!! I LOVE ❤️ the AVA beads!!! I have made several of your Ava goes futuristic bracelets and love them. Can't wait to make this one as well!! I have lots of Ava beads and many diamond duos - just got some pretty crescents in so we will see what fun color combo I can come up with. Thank you for a great tutorial!! Hope your thumb heals quickly!!
I did toss around with the idea to put it in the art deco book, but I thought nahhh... too modern, and when it was finished I thought, darn... perfect art deco design... Ah well I just have to pimp it for the book, see if I can add some cupchain in between and maybe chaton on the middle instead of seedbeads :-)
I just stumbled upon your Garfield video on taking care of him and was curious about your beading so I just clicked on this YT and wow! you do beautiful beading jewelry work! You sound like you have a slight French accent, sounds like me sometimes 😊
yes I am, waiting for Kalmbach to get back to me after the second entry on how to make the instructions. They didn't like my picture form, so taught myself graphics and send it back if it was okay like that so waiting for the email now :-)
Beautiful as usual. Your designs are amazing. I was unable to connect with your friends link to see the video for her star. Is there a revised link to her star video?
Unfortunately, I only have 2 colors of AVA beads and although I have a lot of diamonduos, I only have enough of one color to make a bracelet, and they match well with only one of colors of AVA beads I have. I'll post a pic on Facebook when I'm done. :-)
Gianna, very lovely bracelet! I have most of my beads in my cart at Potomac, but I'm having trouble finding the 15's - any suggestions (I don't see them on Potomac's page!)?
This is so gorgeous! I would love to make it. What color crescent beads did you use? Thank you for designing the AVA beads. I've used them in several projects already. Thank you also for another tutorial.
Hello Ava, I'm watching this tutorial and I can follow you to a point. What I'm having trouble with is how fast pace the lesson is. I really want to make this so when I get the beads I will try to make it. Is this a advance project?
This is absolutely beautiful and I decided to make it and bought all the beads, I bought the AVA's from Potomac direct. I decided to buy the factory pack of 100 so I would have some left over for other projects. I live in GB and the AVA's cost me $44.98 I then had to pay another (£14.00 GBP) $22.70 custom fee. I feel a bit disappointed with the AVA's though, they are lovely but lots of them are scratched and the gold coloured coating is missing as well as holes not being fully opened ( the needle won't go through a lot of them). This suggests to me, that these won't last long when worn, rubbing against clothes, tables, bars etc. when out and about. have you any suggestions. I love your work, but feel that these beads should be more durable as they're very expensive. What can we do if projects are returned to us because of this?
For any broken, or damaged, holes that can't be pinched through contact Potomac they will send some news one. Yes these are sort of ages with scratches but the other colours are not, I have several colours in my home now and only these are a little scratches up. I always check sides which is least damaged to use as front. As for wearing off that depends a lot on the acid level in your skin, if it comes off the AVA it will also come off the galvanised beads. I know for instance honeybead (Zina, my friend on youtube) can't use galvanised since when she uses them the coating already comes off. I have no problem with that. She however found out the duracoats do not give her that problem. My best advice is try small packs first and see what happens before you buy bulk with any beads. And if the coating comes off on bracelets, use them for earrings or pendants, just don't wear on bare skin, that way they will stay in tact. Hope that all helps :-)
Thanks for your reply. I may try the other colours in smaller amounts as you say. I did talk of rubbing off but actually the coating has chipped off on some of them. Love your stuff, thanks for your time and pleasure you give us all.
