Avacyn wearing a basilisk collar sounds like the most metal thing, even for a gothic plane with a vampire whose card literally means 'Sorin the joyless'
"You're at 72 life!" Not for long he wasn't. Aristocratic life gain/drain is one of my favorite strategies, and I am also a huge fan of Black Market. It's been referred to as a "win more" card, but today it proved it's definitely a card to be reckoned with. :)
The look on Blake’s face when Ben countered his removal on Shae’s commander was the very essence of entertainment and, I reckon, provided the fuel to go all the way this game. Congrats Blake! Maybe we can get a Spelltable game one day, it would be my honor …Yo 😎
Teysa Karlov was my first ever EDH deck, way back when she was released. She has been the only deck to have constantly survived my ever changing wheel of commander decks. I can't describe the excitement I had seeing her in the thumbnail, and I'm happy it was Blake as her companion. Excellent game guys! All debt shall be paid, in death and blood.
I learned from another comment on here that Blake makes videos about Explorer decks! Explorer is my favourite new format, so I've followed on RU-vid and Twitter. Looking forward to watching some great videos!
The rise of the aristocracy against taxes, a story as old as time itself. Blake just doing his best aristocrat impersonation and dishing out treasures to CGB without a care in the world and benefiting from everyone on the battlefield dying. It was glorious!
Congrats Blake! Though I have to admit I'm surprised you didn't give the card of the game to that harvester! He filled your hand sooooo hard so you could sell those bodies on the black market xD.
CGB flicking a toothpick:Hey Yo! Blake after running through Shea and Ben: I don't care how many treasures you have. YOU"RE NEXT! Nice job on that 3 player OTK Blake. Aristocrats doing Aristocrats things. Loved the gameplay and there was no Peace in our time.
Once I saw the video was an hour long I thought, “Oh this is going to end in a pop off”, and that’s exactly what happened! Shouts out to the winner, your commander is one of my favs 🥹
AWESOME VIDEO!!! It crazy pay for 1 then yooo pay for 2 then Shea was like nooo then pay for 4 and Ben pinging damage at random like a sniper then Shea dove deep drowning everyone for a bit but CGB rises up in the air with angel wings killing just about everything in it path but no one knew Blake was doing some black market dealing in a dark alley then meeting some questionable people on a dark tower but kick them all off from the top like Sparta that lead to the demise of everyone else in a Instant like taking candy from a baby lol congrats Blake 😎🤟🏾
Stayed till the end even through commercials for more support love you all ty for the amazing contents and can't wait to see what you all do next and please never forget everyone you're cool 😎🤟🏾
I love the deck Blake!! I have an Elenda the Dusk Rose deck and I’ll sometimes switch it up with Teysa Karlov as commander. I love making so many tokens and then straight up not win by combat damage haha Hope to see more aristocrats in the future :)
Yo! Yo! Nicely done Blake! I loved the game and how all that life CGB had didn’t matter in face of the powerful mage Blake who did not use blue this time but brought it home with so many triggers! I’ll say Yo now every time to ask for the tax on smothering tide. Congratulations Blake once again!
First time watching. Appreciate the creative approach to rule zero. Cuts through some of the abstraction involved in ranking the power level of commander decks. Gives both players and viewers a better understanding of how each deck functions. Enjoyed it a lot.
Taxes got you down? Just head on down to the Black Market! We've got mana, we've got pingers, we've got sac outlets, we've got lifegain - everything you need and more all without the watchful eye of the Smothering Tithe!
Well done blake killing cgb with that many treasures is truly impressive. You’ve built an awesome deck. Sidenote i’ve never seen a teysa karlov deck lose so that’s a good deck choice.
Taxing card draws is the way with this group. CGB definitely swerved on this one after drawing so many cards the last couple of shows. I am also impressed you guys and gal don’t try to gang up on CGB every game.
49:55-52:37. Blake’s Harvester of Souls draw triggers are wrong I think. Blake ends up drawing a card for each creature that died from the Avacyn flip. However, Harvester of souls reads: “Whenever another nontoken creature dies, you may draw a card.” Blake shouldn’t have drawn a card for CGB’s bird token as well as his Harvester of souls and 2 creature tokens. Still a crazy turn thanks to Shea’s board state, but just should have been 4 less cards drawn. Also, I think Requiem Angel should have created at least one more spirit token since both Harvester and Requiem Angel are not spirits. Wasn’t sure what’s Blake’s other doodled creature token was but, if it wasn’t a spirit, then that would have been another spirit token trigger off Requiem as well. I love playing aristocrats which is the only reason I noticed it. There are always so many death triggers to keep track of and sometimes mistakes happen.
Ben really really really got under Blake's skin in this game. Always remember it's a game Blake, smile and laugh more mate. Karma rewarded you in the end 🤙
Jeska's wil could have made 7 because the fish draws before it resolves, and smothering tithe triggers off mystic remora draws (they caught on to that later though)
@@BlakeMTG Blake has a youtube channel? subscribed. We have the same play-style so im excited for your content. You should let people know you have a youtube channel!
Blake was not a fan of taxes. Lmao. I was questioning getting Black Market for the new Tasha deck I'm building but now I'm pretty sure this sells it for me.
@@BlakeMTG I have been! You guys inspired me to go to my local card shop the last three Sundays for commander night and I even attended the commander draft for the new set release! It's been great! Hope you're doing well and settling in to content creating :P
@@BlakeMTG Man - Running a card shop would be a dream job. Hoping one day to be able to do it comfortably. Maybe after I retire. 🙃At least for now I can enjoy participating in the community there. It's been great!
Sequencing on the Jeska's Will should have made 7 mana i believe. Cast and target Shea with 6 in hand, Remora trriggers and Shea draws to 7 in hand, Jeska's resolves and makes 7. I see these errors loads in local games and i probably make them myself, easy to see when watching but maybe not when you're at ghe table.
Blake deserved to win. He was having no fun playing Magic up until he started making mana on the black market. Underhanded- but what do you expect from Blake?
This game is a lesson in being a good citizen. Blake did his civic duty and paid his taxes at the beginning of the game, and then was given a huge tax return with that Black market! Truly the American dream.
Why didn't Ben end the turn instead of letting Avacyn flip?! He loses his commander! Also - Yo CGB - why not pair Smothering Tithe with Professional Facebreaker? Turns all your treasures into card advantage! PPS with Black Market mana boost, why no Torrent of Hailfire? Now that's a flashy finish!
Did Avacyn not transform the first time? All CGB says is “trigger on the stack” so it’s hard to tell. If it had transformed, and Ben ended the turn with the damage trigger on the stack…whole different game.
