He said that you should accept what you are doing. This means you should either love (running towards something, which is outside of you while being non-violent) or fear(running away from something, towards inside of you while being non-violent) what you are doing. That means the doer should be resisting his natural state of who he is. And as long as the doer either accepts or rejects himself, he will have an ego, an observer which feels I am the doer. This will cause "free will" inside him because he has the freedom to choose, to either accept or reject what he is doing. What is the meaning of will here? Will means being ready to do something. So, free will means, the freedom of being ready to do something or simply, being free for doing something. But, what is freedom? Who is actually free in this world? All our concepts of freedom are nothing but thoughts. And all our thoughts are nothing but lies we tell ourselves. India was not free before 1945. But is it free now? Back then it had the problem of Britishers. Today, it has other problems, like corruption, reservation, etc? How can the external world be free, or reach an ideal and perfect state, as long as the person desiring that state is not perfect? Don't you think, that what we create is dependent upon who we are? How can people who are not free from thought, and at least a drishta, or observer, will ever create a world which is free? Idiots claim that India is facing the problem of disguised unemployment. They say people should work hard. But, those idiots don't know that they wish to work hard because they have made things, especially their work life, too tough, and complicated. There are simple ways of running a company. There are simple ways, simple logics, by which you can achieve what you want. In the past, Kings used to keep monks and gurus in their court. Why? Because they knew that their complex problem have simple solutions. You can either cut a tree with an axe, or you can cut it with a chainsaw, or you can cut it with advanced alien technology. The choice is yours. If you wish to make things hard for yourself, so be it. I don't have any problem with that. But remember, as long as things are not simple, they are wrong. What is the definition of simple? It means not difficult. What is difficult? It's something that you don't desire. So, if we go by the dictionary, something that is simple is something that is not what you don't desire. It might not be what you desire, but at least, it is not what you don't desire. And every business is fighting to not get what it doesn't desire. And simple also doesn't mean giving up your desire. I am not inculcating a philosophy where the company cuts down its targets. All I am saying is to reduce the complexity and be simple, so you are not sad or angry at your results. I don't guarantee happiness, but what I can guarantee, is peace. Every doing has a motivation, a desire behind it - be it positive or negative. And behind every desire, there is a rejection of who you are without manifesting that desire. Rajneesh didn't play with words. He just said the truth, He wanted people to desire both, the manifestation of desire and the manifestation of desiring the opposite of that desire. If you do both at the same time, you jump from the doer to the observer or drishta state, in which the doer feels that he is an observer. All his words in his lectures had the imperfect logics and reasoning and stories (cause and result relationship) for becoming a drishta. And all his channeling, his meditation that you enter while listening to him had been pointing towards kaivalya state. He was truly a genius.
