First time we heard the song you played it live in our local mall. My husband and I stood frozen in place as our hearts melted. My husband grew up in an orphanage. I choreographed this song and dance for him and our church on his 50th birthday.Thank you for such a beautiful worship song that reveals the very heart of God.

Yes. God is not a God of hate, He is a God of love and compassion. The things that we endure make us stronger, and to know that God is in just as much pain as we are while we are enduring such trials makes me even happier that God loves me. I think it is safe to generalize this to a lot of people. God feels our pain, and he is right there with us enduring it with us. Give God a chance, you may actually find yourself in a different place.

don,t know what avalon believes as far as salvation goes but this song is the true gospel for God will have ALL men to be saved and to come to the understanding of the truth in due time,all the prodigals will run to the voice of love and will confess that Christ is Lord to the glory of the father for creation was subjected to vanity not willingly but because of the one who subjected in hope that creation itself will be set free from slavery into the glory of the children of God...Amen.
I was brought up by my grand parents which made me sometimes asking my self and God whether the said to be my parents are mine or I a was actually my grand parents son. Yes, Jesus The Christ is The Way, The Truth, and The Life taking us back to God The Father. And no orphan indeed! Thank's God for Avalon!

Love this song as it reminds me that when I was 23, due to many sins (most of the, thoughts, and addiction) that made me feel very unworthy of his love again, I had enough of that mental torture, then he showed me I was wrong, He still loves me, so through His grace and love, he had ransom me, forgave me and broght the freedom that living nightmare I lived for 7 years. Yes He Loves Us, Oh How He Loves Us!

I totally understand why you may feel that way. Even learned people can find themselves asking " where was God when....". The answer is He was there. He sees the pain, the loss, and is ready to help us with comfort, resources, understanding, peace - when we let Him do so.

We live in a world of sin, but God is always there, through the good and bad. At times we may wonder why he allowed bad things to happen, we will never know the answer... But he was always there
My sister loves to hear me sing sometimes and she asked me to sing this for church one day and you know what i had never heard this song before so i looked it up and the words to this song speak so loudly to me i don't know what to do i will cry trying to sing this haha...
Interesting, I had not thought about it that way. However, to be precise, every human being is loved by God and he never forsakes anybody. The song is written to express God's love for humans, existant regardless of a relationship with Christ, and I think it accomplishes that very well. As for her theology, since the song was written for a Christian audiance, she is spot on when she says "we are his children".

wow i LOVE listening to the original 4.there voices are all extraordinary blessed,they are filled with joy of the Lord and it SHOWS,the words to their songs are real and meaningful,and their interaction with each other as they sing makes it a delight and joy to listen/watch them.We saw them in greeley colo in 2002 in a small setting--forgot about them over the years til now!!!;o)
I simply love gospel singing, it's so beautiful and so inspirational. And although I am not particuarly religious myself this gets to my heart, absoloutly beautiful
God does love us. Where there is good, also evil too exists. God doesn't cause the bad and hurtful things, evil does. Have you heard of Yin and Yang? It's like that. Evil exists everywhere, but so does good. It's up to you to seek out the Good in this world. If you choose to focus on just the evil then, that is something that you have to live with, but to say that God doesn't love us is wrong, as He isn't the one that causes evil. I hope that you can someday come to know the love that God has.
When she says, "we are all His children." John 1:12 says that "As many as receive Him (Jesus), to them gave He (the Father) the right to become children of God." Only those saved by the blood of Jesus Christ are children of God. We are all His creation but only children exclusively through Jesus Christ.
When I say christianity is ritualistic I would be referring to things like baptism, communion, church service, even prayer. When I say it is false I would be referring to how the vast majority of the Bible is impossible or no longer accepted (and I have read the Bible). It seems odd to me that the religion itself exists and despite how God is apparantly never changing, a large amount of what he has supposedly commanded is now ignored because it goes against modern, sophisticated ideas.
