Favorite Aang moment was when he grabbed Ozais beard, and deflected the fire chop with the back of his wrist. That moment was when all his lessons he ever learned just amalgamated. He used force of will, stood his ground, redirected energy and maintained his pacifism.

The Korra vs Aang conversation always starts with Korra is a prodigy. Aang not only mastered air bending by 12 but was above above average in all other elements in less than a year. By the time Aang was 17 we all know he was just built different

That scene kinda makes me realize how frighteningly powerful his avatar state truly was. I just finished rewatching legend of korra and honestly her avatar state never felt like it truly struck fear in her opponents, it never seemed as terrifying and as strong as Aang's was and every time I see that scene I practically feel the ferocity radiating from him. And it breaks my heart to see him go from a state of pure rage to excruciating pain and sorrow.

Most Avatars had a decade to learn the elements. Aang had less then a year to learn 3 elements (+energy bending). And he mastered water bending along the way. This kid is so powerful

He mastered two of them, being really proficient with fire and somewhat above average with earth. Still impressive for less than a year. other avatars did that by theyr late 20s. Aang was fully realised before he left the teens. He was a true powerhouse.

Watching this from kids to teenager, I never realized how perfect Avatar is Idk what I think in the past when aang ran away from air nomads, but now I can understand how hard it must be for him to hold the destiny of the entire world in age of 12. For me the greatest and beautiful moment of Aang (and the series) was Aang protecting himself and locking Ozai at the same time, thinking as Toph has taught him but keeping his will of not taking a life away, thinking as a air bender. The exact opposite sides of the coin. Think and not think. It was the best seconds of the series and it made the whole journey worth.

Aang didn’t flee from the avatar duties, he fled because other monks were about to send him in another temple away from Gyatzo. He just did what a regular kid would do when they hear news like “we’ll send you away to a new home”

That was the tipping point, but the pressures of being the Avatar were weighing on him even before that. He was losing everything he loved about being an Air Nomad- his friends, Monk Gyatso etc- and instead pushed into training even harder for his Avatar duties. That’s why in the finale, he once again has to choose between his duties as the Avatar and an important part of his Air Nomad identity- the Air Nomad philosophy that holds all life is sacred. Instead of running away, he faces down Ozai and makes a choice, sparing his life but taking away his bending, the middle ground between the two forces that rule his mind. Essentially, the show can be boiled down to this: *Can Aang choose between his responsibilities as the Avatar or his responsibilities as the Last Airbender? Or will he run away from both to avoid choosing at all?*

Umm, one major problem here...the guy that was trying to get Aang into the Avatar State never was supposed to be his Earthbending teacher. He was just the leader of the group that was supposed to escort the team to Omashu so Aang could learn from Bumi.

There's several problems... bending the clouds was only waterbending, not a mix of air and water. It's literally just condensed water lol, that hurt to hear such a goof when it's elementary science. There was also Aang's solution to beating Ozai. That wasn't THE solution like the narrator says, but rather Aang's selfish solution. Homie risked the world to avoid killing a man that threatened everything lol. Granted he is 12, but still. Helped Zuko find his mom though, so it worked out.

Avatar aang is one of the lost respectable and incredible avatars ever cuz he ended a hundred year war . Helped Fire Lord Zuko rebuild the world into an era of peace and love and learned how to energy bend . Now you gotta admit it's not every hundred years you see an avatar who can do all that.

I think my favorite moment ever, is when Aang, Katara, and Toph take down the giant drill in Book 2. When he runs up the wall and then back down to hit his giant spike!!! One of the coolest things I've ever seen in animation and live action

Ishir Kolankarai plus, “the end” at the end wouldn’t make any sense then, and also the original voice actors are grown now so their voices won’t be light anymore. Well maybe Whitman’s (kataras voice actor) voice might be the same but the actors for aang, sokka, and especially zuko wouldn’t fit their characters.

When I was a kid i had a crush on Aang too but I rewatched it a few months ago and now I think that Zuko is way cuter. You know for a cartoon character he's pretty cute. But I think that's just because I aged and now I am more interested in people who are kind of my age.

When you think about it, Aang probably had the most pressure on his shoulders when he first started out as the Avatar; he had to learn the elements in the shortest amount of time, sans Korra, all while stopping the war.
