AVATAR - Hail the Apocalypse - Reaction 

That was the first time they played in Wacken. In the tent, smaller stage. Last year they played one of the bigger stages, but not quite the mainstage. Seen both performances. Bith outstanding. Very underrated band. They do have great official videos too. Always creative and with a twist. And the singer is simply nuts 😬

Yes, watch the rest of the show if you want more live tracks. Wacken 2015 surely is their best show both in terms of sound and performance. Totally recommend "Paint Me Red" above all if you're not doing the whole show, which is short. "Smells Like A Freakshow" second. Both fairly simple songs but they're just so good live. Paint Me Red has always been one of my favourites but after seeing them live last summer it cemented it as their best song. Period.

Loved your reaction, they are amazing live, like you say, very energetic, and their talent shines through very well live, but their official videos are always creative and excellent to watch too, making it difficult to choose the next track...... Enjoy your avatar journey 😊

have to suggest some of the better clean vocalists in metal, for example, Blind Guardian - Valhalla or The Bards Song live at Waken Powerwolf - Amata Strigoi Helloween - Halloween Though if you want the heavier side Shadow of Intent - The Heretic Prevails Total Consumption - Spread or Dead (nutella based band) Infant Annihillator - Blasphimian If you want more foreign metal (not in english) Maximum the Hormone - What's up people (Japanese band) Oomph - Labyrinth (german band) Korpiklaani - Man with a Plan If you want some classics that defined genres Venom - Black metal Kreator - Satan is real Iron Maiden - Hallowed by thy name And last but not least, if you want something a bit more lighthearted and not taking it's self to seriously, with fun music videos Alestorm - Mexico or Fu*ked with an Anchor (pirate metal) Nekrogoblikon - No One Survives, We need a Gimmick or Dressed as Goblins (goblin-core) Gloryhammer - 1992 Rise of the chaos wizards (fantasy space metal) Hope this will help for the future :)

I've been to 2 of their shows, and they open with this, and it's amazing how they keep this same energy throughout the entire thing.

Greetings. Nice reaction! I liked & subbed. I'm new to Avatar (only about a month in, but 100% obsessed & have to have my daily 'fix', lol). I haven't found/heard a song yet that I just really didn't like, so it's hard to recommend one in particular... I guess I'd have to go with Smells Like A Freak Show or Black Waltz maybe. For one that doesn't have a live or official video, I love "Out of Our Minds" (simple but, I don't know, catchy & repeat-worthy). Look forward to more reactions, esp. of Avatar... a sorely underrated band with a lead singer/frontman that is 6'4" of amazing. :)
