That isn't true. The lion turtle said that no human had more than one element before. That is why Rava said she would help Wan. They didn't say it was impossible, just that it didn't happen before. Plus, the way Rava talked sounded like she wasn't planning to help him forever, so the original plan was to give him all 4 elements when he was ready. They just fused before that could happen.

What about a lava lion Turtle that has a volcano on its back for defense is that it shots a bunch of lava-like a Shield. It can live in the earth nation and the fact that it has a volcano on its back can scary humans away. It can be home to fire and earth spirits and very few humans can live on it.
Ok ok ok, dear CBR I love your Channel especially your avatar content because I love the show and I am a hard core fan, now listen yes there are other lion turtles, it was explicitly stated in the legend of korra, when wan and raava were going to get the other bending forms from the other lion turtles before harmonic convergence why didn’t they go look for the said glass bending or wood bending lion turtle? And that’s because they don’t exist, the avatar universe consists of only four elements (water, earth, fire and air) even the creators themselves stated this you can see in episode 8 of season 2of korra when raava and wan were talking to the air lion turtle she referred to it (the lion turtle) as “ancient one” so that at least tells you that raava knows that there are other lion turtle and knows that only four bending types exist and if there was a fifth or sixth or seventh she would have gone along with wan to find them so they could defeat vaatu after all they had a whole year so time wasn’t a problem and btw raava is an ancient spirit and the essence/embodiment of light and peace so if there were any other lion turtles with other abilities she would have know and she would have taken wan there . Now on the subject of sub bending skills : a sub bending skill is one that is derived from practice, hard work and studying of the original bending skill, for water bending its ( healing, spirit bending, plant bending, blood bending(which on its own has sub skills as shown by Amon), humidity bending and the dehydration of plant life to use their water), earth ( seismic sense, metal bending, lava bending, and glass bending) fire( lightning bending, lightning redirection, combustion bending and now smoke bending ) air( flight and spirit projection for now ) now the one thing all of these sub bending skills all have in common is that the people who discovered these skills had to adapt to their surroundings, they had to study their original bending to perfection and had to work really hard to achieve this , sub bending is practically a human skill for all we know and yes a lion turtle who gave or has the bending could in theory have the knowledge of sub bending but they don’t just exist as sub bending lion turtles, they exist as the elemental lion turtles and if you want to bring up the matter of energy bending well all lion turtles have that ability it’s what enables them to both give and take bending away and it’s used to pass knowledge and information that’s how aang was able to do it and how korra was able to restore bending and master the avatar state easily than any avatar before her so Yh earth benders can sand bend and in theory glass bend too , there isn’t a specific lion turtle who has that ability alone sub bending as the show depicts it is something that comes to be when a bender either has to adapt or study and master one of the four elements and break new grounds ( the sub bending always has to be in the context of the four elements which is why something like wood bending which is such an earth bender thing can’t exist because it’s not in the umbrella of earth bending if you get me there isn’t any earth impurities in the wood to bend like metal )and pls this isn’t me hating but simply pointing out errors in your video and this comes from a place of love ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾

I want an evil Avatar that takes over the world. But because she’s half spirited; she only rules two of the four elements (fire and water). While there’s also another Avatar, a twin baby - who has the power to bend Air and Earth. The lost twin has been in hiding and training to defeat the evil twin that’s possessed by the evil Vaatu.
That could potentially ruin the point of an avatar. What would happen when one twin dies? a new one will reencarnate only with those 2 elements?, so that means, eventually if another twining occurs, then there would be 2-one-element-avatar, and 1-two-elements-avatar...
If they do a new avatar they can do a story where a humans travels the spirit and they all each obtain a bending (whatever that is) and that could bring in new bending styles and a new group( like a wood bender tribe, a glass bender tribe)
Metal and minerals are mostly the same, the difference being their structure. For example, iron (Fe) is a metal. Iron is found in nature as minerals like hematite (Fe2O3), Magnetite (Fe3O4). Iron metal is found in nature as Iron oxides, Iron sulphides, Iron carbonates, Iron silicates, etc. These compounds are called minerals. Metal is an element that these compounds (minerals) are made of. And earth is, in a way, just different types of minerals. Based on this, pure metal bending is already happening when people earth bend or "metal" bend. We just need someone to understand this like Toph understood the commonality between earth and metal. With an understanding of the commonalities between metals and minerals, pure metal bending can come into play easily. :)
Oh the mention of wood bending lion turtle reminds of that one episode where any and his group got draged down into a swamp like forest. Could it be that a very large yet older elder lion turtle was there all along?????????
The lions gave the ability that humans can learn it but they still learnd it from them by watching their movement. Without the lions humans wouldnt be eable to learn it
The Lion turtle gave humans bending while the animals, like the dragons, bison, Badger moles and the moon and ocean (first benders) was the original benders which humans learned their styles from.
Would steam bending be something Water, air and Fire benders could potentially do? Cloud and fog bending is something both water and Air benders can do. I would assume Smoke bending is Fire and Air benders.
Sooo.. I think, technically, Aand was the first avatar with 5 bendings, when he got energy bending from the lion turtle, and then Korra kept exploring it at the end of the fight with Kuvira doing energy being. So I guess, now there would be a 5 elements cycle? Energy comming just after earth... so... I wonder what would happen? Maybe avatar reincarnating into a random non-bender descendant?
@@joesunday199 that would be really cool. I've seen alot of people suggest it follow the Chinese 5 element which would essentially add wood bending. If they did that and even the light/ shadow it would be cool. It could be an avatar exclusive ability

The way i see it is you dont have metal turtles or smoke turtles or even wood turtles because you learn diferent forms the way Toff did by being in a situation where you have to be creaive and tap into your energy. as the guru said. the 4 elements is just an illusion of separation. they are all connected.
they would still need rava or vatu or some kind of spirit to hold the other element while they get another element so a new bender like the avatar would not be possible without that
9:52 that would probably be impossible since the first avatar had to fuse with a spirit to be able to use the four main bending elements so just finding these unique lion turtles as a bender wouldnt be enough to gain all those bending. a non-bender probably could get one of these tho and expand on it
Alternate theory. What if those 4 lion turtles were second generation. You say all of those other bendings are sub skills but what if the first generation lion turtles(let's say 6)could control say all types of heat, all types of liquid, all types of objects belonging to the earth, all types of air, all types of life. Say they passed this on but the second generation could only hold a single element?
If they ever expanded avatar with a new series I would love it if we saw new lion turtles that bestowed never before seen elements such as Light-Bending, or Shadow-Bending
What would light and shadow bending even accomplish it would be like ‘ha ha I’m a main villain and I can turn the light off’ or ‘ha ha I’m the main villain and I can make your shadow move’
@@BaguetteDeMal Another late reply but, if Light and Shadow were to be bendable; they could be given some force or impact. Much like when Water is bended it can be used to grab objects or even people. So, they'd do much more than what you are suggesting.
Late reply but, Glass would have nothing to do with Light. They couldn't "Bend" it like how "Bending" is meant to work. "Bending" is about control. Which a Glassbender couldn't control Light.
I'm surprised that you guys talk so much about wood bending rather I'd say plant bending and have wood bending be a sub-bending practice of that much like Poison Ivy from DC comics
So, exactly how many Avatars have there been? In Korra it's stated that it's been 10,000 years between Wan and Korra. We know of at least 9 named Avatars (Wan, Korra, Aang, and the 6 before him), but we're never given an exact number for the rest of them. Assuming that the humans in the world of Avatar live the same lifespan as humans in real life (around 80 years), there can't have been more then 125 Avatars. But, there are cases where some Avatars like Aang have lived a lot longer then that, so it could be even less the 100.
Yeah, I think the reason roku said there was 10000 lives because in a lot of eastern culture the word for 10000 is synonymous with more and many just like Wan shee tong said he who knows 10000 things

No, It's clear that the avatar has all "pure" elements. I'd see these as sub bending lion turtles... well sub sub bending actually, wood bending would be the most advanced form of plant bending and glass bending would be a super advanced form of sand bending.

How about pure plantbending, making plants grow faster, and change shape? Like the vaatu vines Firebender's smokebending is the modification of carbon, carbon dioxide, etc. Glassbending is just sandbending in a purer form I do agree on the metalbending pure Plus, one more thing how about light bending?
The thing about this is that while yes, Lionturtles can and have evolved, evolution of a species does not happen over one generation. Lionturtles wouldn't shrink down that drastically over one generation of eggs, from one turtle, especially if they reproduce asexually like you assumed. If they reproduce asexually, there wouldn't be any difference in genetic material aside from random mutations. For a species to evolve and shrink down the way you suggested, they need to breed and merge DNA with each generation of offspring. So let's for simplicity's sake say that Lionturtles do breed, just not a lot, and that once bred the male's DNA can be used practically endlessly to fertilize a female's eggs over the course of her lifetime. You can even assume they were aquatic at one point (all the elements do appear underwater, and different LT's could've lived in different parts of the oceans to evolve separate elements as their ability from spiritbending), which would allow them to grow to that enormous of a size, eventually develop to go out onto the land and explain why a creature that heavy would be able to breathe underwater and swim. Considering how long Lionturtles can live, I assume them evolving for example mountains on their backs could have happened simultaneously with the human and spirit species evolving into what they are, as humans and spirits both proved to be a threat and Lionturtles were obviously around before them. When spirits started turning dark that evolutionary perk was a bonus in their survival, and as humans developed further and further they chose to combine their strengths. Of course humans got greedy and turned against them, purging most of them. Which leaves us with the few Lionturtles that still exist. If the one Aang met was female and did lay a bunch of eggos, those Lionturtles wouldn't be any smaller than their mother, but could possibly be a different element than she was depending on the enviroment they hatched in. Cinsidering Lionturtles are natural masters in all bending forms, I don't doubt a few could turn up as woodbenders, pure metal benders or master of any other long lost bending form. And considering how Korra ended up uniting the two worlds, there's a good chance that, now, the Lionturtle species will have a chance to make a comeback from the brink of extinction, bringing the rare bending forms back with them.
I feel like water benders should be able to pull water out of the air around them, there probably wouldn't be too much but it still should be possible. If I could be any bender it would be a water bender, they're freaking powerful.
@@NewArtAlexis No, she pulled water out of plants and trees, not straight out of the air. The closest we've gotten was Katara catching and stopping the rain mid-air. I propose that, if they make a show of the next Avatar, a waterbending member of team Avatar or an antagonist may learn that they can bend water straight from the air around them.
@@TheBeesies I recommend you to watch the episode again, just after katara explains how she used her sweat, Hamma pulls water out of the air into her fingers (and explicitly says so), and then takes it out of the flowers... literally this is why they kept the air dry in the fire nation prisons
there are certain species of turtles that can produce offspring without a mate , so it makes sense something that is part turtle might also have that ability

4:35 smoke can be a sub firebending and also an Airbending technique. And sometimes water and in a very very very rare Situation also earth. Why water because of aerosols in it smoke have water in it like cloud's
Space bending is outside of the planet like you would be bending your whole entire planet, and darkness bending doesn’t necessarily make sense, neither does mind bending.
@@paulaulaulaul As for space bending, I was thinking about teleportation, time, reality, wormholes, telekinesis, gravity, basically alter ANY quality that space has that does not rely on one particular element. Think of it like acnologia, he can eat any magic because magic itself is his element.
@@paulaulaulaul Late reply but, as there are Spirits of Light and Darkness (Raava and Vaatu); it means these Elements are more than what they are in our World. Bending Darkness (Or Shadow if you prefer the name) could be used for stealth or visual tricks during combat.
how cool would it be if it was possible for normal people to be able to bend like 2 elements? For example, if you had a fire bender and an earth bending have a child there's a slim chance the baby inherited both the parent's abilities. but it would be very very rare and it would only happen if the elements are not opposites like water bender and a fire bender could have a childer who bend water and fire. same with earth and air. and then eventually the world grew to not need an avatar as much anymore

Kinda seems like sir bending because you can bend the air aka smoke around you, and also water bending, not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure sure Katara demonstrates “smoke” bending with her ability of like freezing things with her mouth causing smoke to surround herl
