I knew of this band but didn't really KNOW this band until I just saw them live. The studio doesn't do them justice....at all. Their sound and showmanship live were outstanding! Completely a different experience than hearing their recorded stuff. IMO live music is almost always a better experience. For these guys it felt 10 levels higher than the studio stuff. Great band I would love to see again in a much longer set.
I saw them live in Pittsburgh, they are better live than on record. And they're great on record too. Johanannes sounds unbelievably good live. These videos might seem otherwise, I was concerned. But when you see them live the concern goes immediately.
I just saw them do a 40 minute set a couple weeks ago and i agree, it's too short. Saw them in MD in may, headlining, and they played over 2 hours. Theres a decent recording of it. Silver Springs
These kids bring a smile to this old man's face. I know most of you are too young for this reference, but I haven't seen this kind of performance since the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. That's about a high a compliment as I can give!
I didn't know much about them and this was my first time seeing them live after only hearing a few of their songs. They blew me away. Amazing live performance.
I wasn't very familiar with their songs. I know who they are and had heard a couple of songs before this show. They were great live and definitely didn't disappoint. Even people who had no clue who they were loved them. The only band the crowd seemed disappointed with was In This Moment.
I been trying to make avatars full set but it never equals your full Time its always around 32 minutes I need the full list of there songs in order . Yes I been trying to make it on Spotify .
Where is Jonas?...is he off to the left really far over at the beginning? Avatar is the main reason I would go to the show...awesome band, he is such a good front man.
Saw Avatar in Greensboro last week. They were the best part of the whole show!! I had seen In This Moment three other times and they were by far the worst. Completely different vibe from a few years ago, left in the middle of their set
I’ve seen avatar 3 times in 3 years now. I wanted to see ITM, but when I was at a Jinjer show last summer, people I was talking to said they went to seem her/them, and it was ok, but more about wardrobe changes than music. I’d prolly still go just to do it once though. Your comments reminded me of Jim Breuer years ago how unknown Metallica ruined Gun N Roses. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PGy_obJa_JQ.htmlsi=S0YdPKKmygMyZU9i
New Years Day is the band that opens first. Avatar comes on 2nd. Then, In This Moment and Ice Nine Kills are switching between them who goes on 3rd and 4th each show but Avatar is always the second act during this Kiss Of Death Tour '23. In my opinion, he should have been the co-headliner along with Ice Nine Kills. He was that good live!
@aaronstoll5620 facts I thought they was the best with in this moment a close second just couldn't get into ice nine kills seemed like a boy band trying to perform metal just my opinion
They had a very short set as an opener. They were only supposed to get 30 minutes but they were up there closer to 40 minutes so they already went over their scheduled time just to squeeze in the last song they did.
I absolutely loved their act and wish they would have gotten more time. I also wish they had been the coheadliner with Ice Nine Kills instead of In This Moment.
