ATLA started airing in 2005-2008 back when everything was simple. I can't imagine an ATLA in 2021 where everything is filled with identity politics and woke nonsense. Even the core messages in ATLA would get cancelled in today's socio-cultural world. NF is just gonna ruin it beyond saving.
I think they should just make a brand new spin-off or prequel series, where they show the life and times of past Avatars. It would work better than a live action remake.
@@kgho97 nonviolence and tolerance honestly aren't even woke. They're just common sense. There are and will always be intolerant and violent people in this world regardless of their background and beliefs. ATLA also preaches about unity and diversity, not identity politics. ATLA teaches us that humans are still part of the same human race despite cultural and social differences. Ultimately what defines the individual is the individual itself as a human being, not some superficial attribute like race and gender. ATLA teaches us color blindness. Don't treat people based on their skin color, but by the content of their character (to borrow a quote from MLK). ATLA emphasizes the importance of equality, not equity. Everyone should be treated equally under the law. No one should be given preferential treatment based on gender, race or nationality.
At 1:10 when it shows Aang and the previous Avatars outlined with their respective nations, that was incredible!!! And Roku turning back...chills. This video is amazing, I hope you achieve your dreams!
Fr, it gives me goosebumps. It's incredible; it shows all his past lives and the ones who played roles in Aang's journey. 🔥 I keep replaying that part.
Holy shit. Polish Filipino? I first showed your “bolt says the n word” to countless kids in my school about 2 years ago and they showed more people themselves, and it was a known thing for a while in our grade, LMAO
I absolutely love how lighting is used here, it’s amazing. The two prominent examples is the first scene of Aang starting in the dark while flashing images of his tribe showing how they were leading him down a dark path ignoring his needs and wants to be the avatar but then katara brings him to the light as she is the one who saved him metaphorical (by being his mentor and lover) and physically (saving him from the ice), and Zuko in the shade going to the light to show his conversion to being good
It could be taken as an AU opening or like this a season 6 opening XD And you know how certain anime openings will do those weird recap creative art shots
every out-of-touch producer needs to be replaced with people like this. Imagine if he was getting paid hundreds of thousands, this one guy with 200k subs could re-create things that would ACTUALLY enter the new generation; leaving classic pieces like The Avatar alive. Dope vid!
Me: *expects scenes taken from the show and meshed together for an anime opening* Me after finishing the video: "It WAS ANIMATION BY A SINGLE PERSON THIS WHOLE TIME??" Maker of this master piece: "Always has been."
You ever get an idea on a whim, only to spend months and months toiling away at said idea until everyone's moved on from the ip and you keep missing uploading deadlines? Happy Valentines day
Never worry about needing to post quickly. We will wait as long as it takes, just remember to take care of yourself! I have my notifications on for you for a reason anyway
stairs✅ running✅ smiling for no reason✅ pan up to the sky✅ goofy mc✅ villain in the shadows while revealing the less important villain✅ extra screen time to disposable characters that will never be seen again✅ song that we'll probably never know the meaning without sub✅ and that random dude pointing to god knows where✅
Well, they have many things in common like the adventures and finding their true self and growing along, how it comes up the idea from folktale and legend, and the epic battle and story! 100% would fit!
THIS IS SO WELL DONE!!!!!!! The way it's animated, they all look like they're kids, which they are! They're all between 11 and 17 years old, which in the original animation, they don't look their ages. You brought a whole new life to them, this is so dope!
Bruh, what do you mean? They do look their ages in the actual show. The only one you could say doesn't really look their age is Azula... That's the oldest-looking 14 year old I've seen
i literally forgot this wasn’t real and was about to go search “ATLA anime reboot” because i thought i’d missed it or something??? this is beautiful omg i need this rn
@@jeffisjeff5511 i know!! but it would be good if it was, this proves . when i said “anime reboot “ i meant because its an animation rebooted to an anime
They all were the responsible ones at times. She was more “motherly” but they all stepped up to be responsible for different moments yet they were all still kids.
@@gilangagungprakoso311 no it's not supposed to be like magi, it's supposed to be a avatar the last airbender fanmade anime style opening, with HEAVY inspiration from magi's 1st opening
Honestly anime shouldn't be considered by standards like "is it from japan" or "does it have an op". A show should be considered an anime if it has an anime art style or not lmao
They all are loooking like anime characters, because they are animated. Anime means animation, so for japanese people every animated movie or series is an anime. But western people always think that Anime means only certain animated series from Japan, with the typical anime stereotypes.
@@yusufsyahputra8326 No, it's not. Most avatar fans from western countries claim that Avatar is not an anime because it's not from Japan and too mature. But Avatar is an anime.
@@kaity6319 I read that several times ! Some people really think that Avatar couldn't be an anime because the characters are too well written and not oversexualized. The same goes for Ghibli movies, people also claim that those movies aren't real anime because they are too mature.
kinda wanted a bit where zuko is knees down and then iroh gives him a helping hand nonetheless i"m no way as talented as this guy so i don't have a say, insane parody still :D
I recently rewatched the show for the first time since i was a child, i fuckin thought he joined like in the first half of book two but he was only aligned with them for 9 episodes
@@KatoBeyond Unfortunately the anime doesn't cover the entire story, so I'd recommend the manga. Or you can watch the anime and pick up the manga where it left of, which is what I did the first time.
@@KatoBeyond Yup. The first season has some differences but nothing major. And as far as I remember the second season is as close as possible to manga. But, more importantly, it has no pacing issues or weird plot points created by the adaptation.
THIS IS SO GOOD WHAT- LITERALLY WAS SHAKING AS THE PAST AVATARS STARTED SHOWING UP!! THIS IS ABOUT TO MAKE ME REWATCH FOR THE THIRD TIME WITHIN A YEAR I-
I just noticed that Magi is one of my favorite anime and it has a lot of similarities with ATLA. I mean Aang and Aladdin will be a perfect friends to each other.
@@jordan8899 i was surprised that it was somewhat of an underrated anime. i thought it was popular but then again i was just starting to watch anime at the time. it was such a treat to watch.
@@drawyourway7416 Ye but damn !! The work behind this video must be insane !! And I love the fact that they took the same sceen from Magi the Labyrinth of Magic and completly change and adapt them !!
It's alright but it looks like most of the scenes in this are just traces from magi. Like Zuko running and him using fire and the angry avatar state are just 1 for 1 straight ripped from magi. But it's made from love and a good place so I cant be mad.
Absolutely amazing, keep animating man. As a small time animator, i truly appreciate this kind of work and just wanna say congrats :). This kind of quality really is incredible and i wish you the best of luck. Keep on trucking and doing what you’re doing, and never give up. Love the vids :) 😊
When I saw this after like a year after watching avatar, I think I might have almost cried cause the music and scenery is so beautiful!😭😭😭😭🗿🗿🗿🗿🍷🍷🍷🍷👌👌👌👌😄😄
@@colewygans1278 midway writing that comment I was worried I was gonna get backlash from people not pressing the read more button, thinking I was hating on the video lol
For people who don’t know this song is from Magi a fantastic anime series give it a try it’s really good it needs the support it’s really underrated zuko part is a reference to the Magi series it’s amazing
