I grew up playing hitman on the ps2. I’ll never forget going to GameStop and grabbing the trilogy set (contracts, silent assassin, blood money) and asking my dad for it. His words “oh that looks kinda cool”. When I say I played the shit out of it, I played the hell out of it. It was a staple of my childhood. It’ll always have a special place for me.
for me this song will always be a great work of art, I'm a big fan of Hitman it's an honor to follow this game for years, I hope to see another Hitman game with better graphics
Blood Money was an actual piece of art, but damn absolution was still amazing my first run. Nothing beats that first time you played through Blood Money though and wake up at a Funeral with 2 Silverballers.
My Uncle bought me Silent Assassin and Cod1 when I was a kid, once I heard this song in SA I was hooked. Amazing games, amazing audio. Thank you Uncle.
@@jgg681 People see a game title and instantly assume it will be the same thing just with better graphics like they're used to with all garbage AAA titles, assassin's creed, call of duty and so on, hitman absolution was an amazing game, it was a massive upgrade in mechanics, graphics and everything, the only thing is that it wasn't a hitman game, it was more of a story driven stealth game. Still, i loved every minute of absolution, 47 felt so alive in it, so did the extremely detailed environments and people around you, some end game missions were pretty goofy but the mission with nuns at the motel was really good, especially the dialogues with the people you can save from the mercs, gives 47 a human side by choosing to compromise himself in order to save civilians. The soundtrack and the levels were really good, i also played this game for the first time while going through extremely tough times and this game holds a special place in my heart, so does blood money which is the top 1 hitman game for me, the new hitman games feel somehow more arcadey than absolution which is a kick in the head for me, i was really expecting blood money but upgraded but they went for a downgrade somehow, such a shame.
Ehh honestly other than the visuals and improvements to movement/ cover system I just think the story and characters were a big let down after blood money.
A man that was not good nor evil...a man who knew nothing else other than death...a man who knew only how to kill...a man that is still searching for a form of peace in his life and a new sense of purpose...
Newgen storytellers really f that franchise and gamers being Netflix consumers are fine with it. Back then it was just that stunned dude doing his job with childhood PTSDs. Does he even have a voice in the first few games? If so it was probably minimal because I cannot remember it. Now he is talking with a witty milf on the phone nonstop and it's the main thing I remember from the game. Making him a weird mute served a narrative purpose that went well with the character, he is not your casual Joe and people like that are presumably not social butterflies. They do it in every game they ruin. For instance Wow, which is now all about strong and independent ladies with motivations that are difficult to understand and hard to believe. Video games are trash these days. Politics is all over and there is nothing original.
@Gaz That is not covered by free speech, and I do not associate. A video game is just a video game. You're probably one of these weird game devs. World of Warcraft is a game about big orcs and humans wearing big armors fighting, not whatever they are now.
@Gaz Idk, the internet is a public space and idk you, could be someone for it trying to make me look like a weirdo I am just saying that they can't get into the psychology of the character and which is the movie equivalent of bad acting and writing.
Nothing beats Blood Money the pinnacle of Hitman series and Stealth Action game I loved the WOA trilogy but it was always lacking something BM had Would love to see Blood Money Remake someday from IOI
@@Bollibompa Sadly that's the only way we will ever get more Hitman games. Game development costs have skyrocketed to the point of publishers not even wanting to make new AAA games anymore because just 1 commercial flop could ruin their existence. If you don't like remakes, it is what it is... In this economy there is no other way to finance new games. Remakes only happen because they are a necessity to keep game franchises alive and going.
@@Vyyc-m9g It's mainly because people keep asking for remakes, buying them and then wanting more. There wouldn't be such a massive financial incentive otherwise. Dad gamers and nostalgic freaks are so obsessed with playing updated versions of games they've already played.
I've thought about buying this game even though people hated the penalty system... and all of the new Hitmans have something from Absolution. Like killing a non-target is a bad thing but the rating system isn't based on points anymore
I think it's step on the right step. Afterall, it's hitman not mass murderer game. It's to kill with discretion and avoiding too much attention from media. I think by doing this, it made the game more immersive and punishing aggressiveness, which is the opposite of this game. Yes it does suck but the challenge it gives just 😩. It's the reason why it's just so hard to finish Hitman games, even on easy difficulty.
This is one of my favorite games, it still stands the test of time cause of the replay value. Play through some missions, if you messed up you can start over and make better decisions. It too many games do that. If Didn’t like your score, try again and of course the many different cool and funny ways to kill your target. Truly one of the best games ever made
Man I love Hitman ya know if theyd have made dlc that were just remakes of old scenarios from previous games I'd have fully bought all of them I love the series so much
Agent 47 doesn’t feel any emotion and is trained to kill. When he killed Dianna Burnwood and saved Victoria you could sense a bit of emotion. Absolution was perfect IMO but that was the second hitman I had the first I had was blood money but all series of Agent 47 is a work of art.
@@haseebsheikh7189 I thought absolution was ok didn’t really understand the point shooting tho but yeah your right hitman 2 silent assassin, contracts, blood money and the new hitman games are astonishing
huge shoutout to Franz Schubert for composing this hymn in the first place and Jesper Kyd for thinking to cover it. oddly fitting and coldly ironic originating in a game where one of the missions is to assassinate a child s*x trafficking US ambassador to the Vatican at the Paris opera. but "Requiem" is one of the most underrated final missions in any video game, top-to-bottom design wise. The World of Assassination trilogy breathed new life into the Hitman IP, but Blood Money will always have the biggest place in my heart.
I wore 47 for a con. Leaving the hotel to get to the con center, women kept complementing on my suit. I didn’t get my con badge yet, so they didn’t know I was in cosplay.
nows hitman is best graphic ever location ,kill your target in variennt style everything .but i miss old hitman series silent assassin , contracts , blood money and absolution . :(
Hitman blood money was my favourite one it’s was part of my childhood I played it when I was 7 and now I am older I have responsibilities but sometimes I have free time and I play it again for a while
Seeing the nuns at the beginning made me realize just how interesting they could have been. Instead of just some pointless sexual characters or could have be really interesting. Like mayhe if they were actual proper nuns. Genuinely going into religion becoming devoted to their religion. Maybe put there by the ICA or something after they were let go. Only for them to be called on to take care of 47 and like a switch being flicked in their brain their killer instinct just takes over
