Im playing the piano. My brother Steven (Groom) Adrian, Manoa (our Biological brothers) Bruce (Family brother) Mahven (my son) and Jordaan (Adrian's son). I first heard this samoan version from Lapi Mariner and Sarah Jane Auvaa. Incidently, Sarah Jane and Maria (the Bride) are first cousins. I thought it would be nice song for the boys to sing. They just learnt it in one week. We all arranged it to suit our family. We had a fantastic time. Much Love, Tina (Oldest sister) xox
Absolutely beautiful. This inspired me to teach it to a school choir several years ago ( a mixture of Aussies, Samoans, Maories, and other cultures.I I'm presently showing this to a current singing group. Our pronunciation of your language might not be perfect but we just love it. I find that the vowels sung really improve singing overall... like a great vocal excercise. No wonder you all are so fabulous. Thank you. ❤
that is the most beautiful bridal entrance song i have ever heard, the bride looks beautiful and the boys singing are just fantastic. your voices are so beautiful, what a wonderful blessing.
(Lau pele sau ta uu lima) My Beloved, Come. Take my hand (Oe le uo mamae o le penina) You are the pinnacle of 'friend' (Ua tasi oe ma au) are now one with me (Tasi le tino ma le fatu) One Being, from the heart! (Le aso nei ia manatua) On this day well remember to (Tausi feagaiga ma le Atua) Keep our nuptials before/with God (Taunuu manuia faamoemoe) Our dream arrives.. (realized) Avea au mo oe (Ave Maria)
What an awesome family!!! So Graceville!! All brothers. . closer than blood.! Tuitama. A name that will forever symbolise the grace, warmth, love and unity we have among our Polynesian People! ! ! We are one family in the eys of our Holy Father. God Bless The Tuitama Fanau. And God Bless all of his children who have had the honor in viewing this video.
This is the best bridal entrance I have ever seen....and to think that it's a Sa one makes it incredible!! My sisters (German/Sas) sang Schubert's "Ave Maria" at our relatives weddings and they are breathtaking because they're opera-trained.....but MAN!!! THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN! Simple and captivating!
Beautiful harmonization Tuitama Brothers! Thanks for recognizing this song. The original title, "Avea A'u Mo Oe" is a translation by Falefatu Enari (of Vaiala) of "The Wedding Song" (Ave Maria), first sung by Fauolegogo Tanielu at Patilda Mitchell's wedding in Carson in 1992, and later recorded by Falefatu Enari and Fauolegogo Patu Tanielu in 1993 in Torrance, California. I've heard other groups sung it but you Tuitamas are close to the original.
chorus (Sau ia oe lou au) My yearning, Come! (Lau fua matala e) My flower in bloom (Oe le rosa lou sei) You are the Rose, that adorns (Ou te tiu ai i le vasa e) Me throughout the seas (voyage) (Le alofa mo oe e moni lea) My love for you is pure / true (Le alofa mo oe e le uma) My love for you is without end!
My daughter called me at 1:00 am and got me out of bed to see this video. She had stumbled upon it and told me they were fantastic singers, I agree but there was an even bigger reason, my ex husband, my daughters father, passed away very unexpectedly June 2010. The gentlemen who is singing with them who is the next to last from left to right (big guy with beard on his chin) looks exactly like my ex husband. I almost fell out of my chair! I live in the U.S. but they say every one has a twin.
WOW.. you are all so very BLESSED with such beautiful voices.. The Bride is such a Gal to have Angels singing at her wedding... oh, one more thing can I get the ring size to the guy on the far Right.. oi aue se AULELEI!!
This song is Antonio Prieto´original, version in spanish in youtube: Antonio Prieto La novia. "Blanca y radiante va la novia, le sigue atras su novio amante, y que al unir sus corazones, haran morir mis ilusiones. Frente al altar esta llorando, todos diran que es de alegria, dentro su alma esta gritando. Ave Maria. Enjoy
2nd verse (Lenei mama e fai ma faamanatuga) This ring is to be a symbol (Lata mafutaga ia aso uma) Of our union for always / all days. (Oe lou fatu lou faamoemoe) You are my heart, My hopes! Avea au mo oe (Ave Maria) ------------o0o----------- My attempts at poetic translation of "emanresu808's" work. Sorry the damn comment thing has a word limit that makes it back to front!
I have watched this and sang along like hundred times.....its my favorite song on youtube Malo BOIS way to represent the Samoan Vocals.....except I think my dogs are barking at me...HEEHEE
@cocozoidz Thank you for the information. These guys are fantastic and put alot of famous groups to shame! I know that if they came to the United States where I live, they would do great also! My daughter and I hope to visit Samoa one day. It is one of many our places we want to visit. If you saw my earlier post..one of the guys could be my ex husband's twin (my daughter dad ) who passed in June 2010.
@cocozoidz...thank you for the reply. They have such beautiful voices and I am sure it is the reason you mentioned. My daughter and I still talk about going to Samoa. That would be somethig to meet the gentleman who looks like my ex husband's twin.....lol Many blessings to you and yours. Laurie
the Samoan version or English version? Well the Samoan version was translated by Mr. Falefatu Enari and he later recorded it with Mrs. Fauolegogo Tanielu.
