I will never not love watching anyone's first time reaction to this masterpiece!! The Rev (R.I.P.) was an amazing drummer and great song writer as well!
@66 Seraphs I saw the tour just after the Rev passed away.. and I won't lie I absolutely did cry when Fiction was played. It was just M, Portnoy and an empty grand piano bathed in a purple spotlight on stage.
@@Blackdog06019 I saw them on the Hail to the King tour in April 2014, they did the same thing. The ENTIRE crowd was chanting. JIM-MY! JIM-MY! And Matt was trying to speak into the Mic but had to stop and cry and just enjoy the chanting. It was absolutely beautiful. When the light was on the empty Piano bench, man that was a heavy heavy moment that I'll never forget.
I'm glad you enjoyed this. This song scares some people away from the band if it's the first one they heard. You should check out Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold live at the LBC. It's a fantastic example of the talent of the whole band. Great song lyrics as well if you listen to the meaning.
Pretty much any song from the Live at the LBC show, would be great listen. I think of the very few people I showed this song to, most got scared lmfao.
Fun little fact about this song... When Avenged Sevenfold was writing this song, they wanted the end result to sound like something from a Danny Elfman movie score (Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Netflix's Wednesday, etc.). When it came time for them to track the horns and other classical instruments, they hired a guy named Steve Bartek to arrange their parts. Little did the band realize, Bartek was the lead guitarist in the 80's New Wave band Oingo Boingo, which formed by none other than Danny Elfman, who was the band's lead songwriter and vocalist!!! After the band split up, Bartek and Elfman have since continued to work together on film scores, and the guys in Avenged Sevenfold had absolutely NO IDEA of any of this when he was hired!
Dude, that’s amazing! I had no idea about that, but Danny Elfman has such a distinct and unique style, and i can never listen to this and NOT think of his scores. I was always blown away by how A7X managed to pull off such a masterpiece of a song and absolutely nail that Elfman-esque style so well, but now I understand why!
This is literally the best reaction to A Little Piece of Heaven I've ever seen. Most people can't seem to get past the visuals or lyrics and don't appreciate the music. So much so that I would almost never recommend this song to someone who doesn't already know like 5 Avenged Sevenfold songs.
I loved your reaction to this song and your other reactions. This is a fun song that avenged sevenfold did, written by the drummer ThevRev. He was a great music writer and artist of the band. Unfortunately he died at an young age. The song so far away is a tribute to him. That would be a good song to react to. They are a great band!
This song is on my top 5 favorite songs of theirs. I think every song is left to be interpreted by the listener. For me the song itself is basically the rollercoaster that love is. It's always told to be such a great emotion but no one ever tells you that with love comes jealousy, fear of unfaithfulness, fear of he/she doesn't love me like I love him/her, he/she is going to leave me etc also anger, rage, revenge, pain and lose. But love still comes out on top even after all those other thoughts and feelings. Even after all the negative thoughts and feelings the love is still there because it is the most powerful emotion. That's my personal interpretation anyway.
The best part was when The Rev sang the last chorus with M Shadows , "but it's just beGUUUUNNNNNNN" at the last chorus, listen carefully, Rev's scream was insane
There is a breakdown of the song on Avenged Sevenfold's official RU-vid channel where at one point you can hear that absolutely incredible pitched scream isolated.
@@wasichu3114 lmao you want to ruin this girl, we will get there. You recommend the easy stuff, then you work your way to the really good stuff. People won't appreciate it otherwise haha
Love the channel selections so far. More tool and A7x would be great to see. So far away or something older like beast and the harlot or bat country from Avenged Sevenfold will give you an idea of how different this was from their normal sound.this was a rock opera sound that they didn't get to do much more of because the Rev passed away as they were writing and finishing the next album
How heart breaking. I’ve read multiple people say that this song was supposed to be on a Halloween album? I can only imagine how bad ass that would of been!
lmaoo omg I had tears at the beginning the reaction was awesome Kath - and same, we all start with, what the F at the start when we first hear it and then OMG I LOVE IT somewhere through the song 🤣
I had watched a few of your other reactions, kind of a hobby of mine recently, and I saw this one and thought ,"oh, here we go..." And now, this is ABSOLUTELY MY FAVORITE REACTION EVER!! Your amazing smile as it starts, then then horror as you realize what is happening (especially with the heater), but then you got past that and got smiles and happy again as it goes on... This song is great, you are gorgeous and this reaction is ABSOLUTE GOLD!!!
Avenged Sevenfold are some damn good songwriters. It'd be awesome to see you check out more of them. They hit upon a ton of different moods/vibes depending on your flavor for the day
Linkin Park just dropped a new (old) single called Lost. I think you would like that too. Its very emotional to us Fans because Chester (the lead singer) took his life a couple of years ago. Its a powerful song by one of the most successful bands of all time. ❤
Your reactions are going through my highschool playlist as they came out ahaha. Love the reactions. If you liked the melodic part then you'd prob love Death and Healing by Wintersun. Has that mix of metal and melodic violins. That song is a wholeee feels song in a good way.
Hi Kathryn. I had a similar reaction to A7X the first time I heard this one. If you're looking for more metal/symphonic stuff to react to, some I can recommend are: Megadeth, Holy Wars... and Hanger 18 (since Dave, the lead singer/guitar player was in Metallica for a bit) Ginger, Pisces Nightwish, Everdream and Ghost Love Score (from Showtime, Storytime live from Wacken 2013. This version has Floor Jansen singing, she's amazing!)
thank you so so much for not pausing it every time some outrageous line happened in this song. this is the best reaction ive seen to this and im subbing to you
Your energy when watching these videos is infectious, I love to see how happy and positive you are. Please do more Avenged Sevenfold, in particular react to So Far Away (it was written for their drummer Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan who passed away) - dare you no to cry when it all sinks in. Gained yourself another subscriber, thank you
I've shown some guys this song and 'cause they were my friends, most of them enjoyed it. I showed some girls this song and have had mixed results. Glad you like it. The rev put this together. He was a genius!
@@KathrynLayneReacts You have so much charisma, genuine interest and honest takes on the music you listen to, and you're branching out (ie not just 1 artist). So it's just a matter of time :D You and your husband makes a perfect team! :) Maybe a co reaction to stuff neither of you have heard before sometime in the future? :)
This reaction was great, love your energy!! I just stumbled on your channel yeaterday and binged all the vids haha. Love this song and would recommened second heart beat or unholy confessions by them too they were like 18 or so when they released those songs and they are great too! Have a nice day!!
I personally love this song and the way they use all the instruments. I also love your energy some people just get straight up disgusted but you know it's just a song and have fun
Thank you !!... Not a fan of rock like that, BUT !!... You just reminded me of a song from this band I use to bump... Bat Country. Time for some nostalgia. See ya !!
lmao this was one of the best reactions to this song. Back on eminem u gotta do his funny stuff too not just the sad , start with “The real slim shady”
I love watching reactions to this rather brilliant horror/slasher/etc movie condensed into song. It's the musical equivalent of b movie cinema, with an over the top score. Danny Elfman should be proud.
I don't know exactly who's telling you which songs to react to ,but so far it's all my favorite artists and bands ,so keep going just subscribed yesterday :)
@@jamesradney5560 I just took a screen shot and sent him this! He’s 50% of this channel and is working hard behind the scenes to pick the perfect songs, what order I should listen them to, and which video to listen to. So this is a huge compliment to him!
Best description of this song I ever heard was a friend of mine who said "If they did an R-rated sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas, A Little Piece of Heaven would be in the soundtrack"
Hello! I clicked on your reaction to Eminem "Kill You", thought it was a great reaction. I went back and have watched and liked almost every video up to this point, I subbed and I can't wait to see more Em, Tool and A7X! A few other random recommendations for recent reaction content: NF, Falling in Reverse, Ren, Sleep Token, and Tom MacDonald! Happy Reacting! :D
Haven’t even watched the video yet, but OH GOD WHY, why must this be the first thing she sees of avenged… edit: this was an amazing reaction!! I can’t believe and I’m almost amazed that this didn’t scarred you off 😂 Also, if you want more "regular" avenged sevenfold songs, you definitely should check out I Won’t See You Tonight pt 1 or Unholy Confession, both amazing tracks!!
“I’m listening to this every Halloween.” 😂 Yes definitely. Also “cuz I really always knew that my little crime would be cold. That’s why I got a heater for your thighs” are the best lyrics of all time. Don’t even pretend
Been an almost obsessive Avenged Sevenfold fan since 2005 (holy fuck that makes me feel old), and I'm surprised this is the song someone got you to start with. It was originally meant for a Halloween EP they were doing (funny you mention listening to it every Halloween), but turned out so damn good it ended up on the main album they had coming up. It's ALMOST a shame the video can be SO distracting. I'm assuming you know Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen? I like to think of this as Sevenfold's Bohemian Rhapsody. It's whimsical and whacky but musically brilliant and so out of the box. Inspired by Oingo Boingo, hence The Nightmare Before Christmas feel, and 95% the brainchild of the bands late drummer, Jimmy The Rev, and out of every song Sevenfold have ever made, this one sits firmly at the very top for me.
LuLz! It's so much fun watching someone see this video for the first time - the roller coaster effect across their face is hilarious. Yes - by the way - it's literally a Zombie love story. 🤣
Your first dancing reaction is me the whole song.... But it's funny watching your reaction change from happy happy joy joy to "OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT IM WATCHING"
As you know by now the drummer (RIP The Rev Jimmy Sullivan) wrote this song, as well as the song Fiction. But, he was in a band called Pinkly Smooth that are very similar to this vibe. If you do like this style you might also enjoy Mr. Bungle, or other Mike Patton projects.
I hope the incels are not getting to you. Try to remember the most toxic people are also going to be the most frequent and inappropriate commentators. I believe others have been able to use word filters in the chat settings to help get rid of some of the worst of it. Good luck and don't let the bastards drag you down!
