Drumming is NOT a competition and art isn't measurable. Hence why that will never be a fact but an opinion. In my opinion (been drumming for 15 years so I know what I'm talking about) this guy is NOT the greatest at all, just happens to cover every millennial favorite songs (mines included) and so it's becoming increasingly popular. As far a popular drummers go (Corbus, Anika, that kind of bland and all chops YT drummers) then yes, he's pretty above. But as far as professional drummers?? lol... As a drummer I prefered lots of other drummers here in youtube, just to name a few Travis Orbin, Eloy Casagrande, Matt Garstka, Matt Halpern, Anthony Barone... mad skills that far surpass those of this guy, but yeah I guess that this guys aren't playing covers and therefore aren't popular enough so the normies thing this guy is better. My two cents.

But lots of pro drummers also have a youtube account even if the aren't youtubers so... my point remains. Gracias de todos modos ^^

100% agree, I've been drumming everyday eversince I started and it's been like 2 years. And I promise practicing everyday makes dreams come true.

2nd that!!! A lot of stuff I'd heard on the radio too the past few months. I like more of the harder and obscure stuff, single pedal with crazy chops/overplaying. But still dig the videos

Yeah I want to echo this thought. I've been watching this dude's videos for like a year and the stripped-down, no-frills aesthetic is a big part of what I love about them. Here I do not mind the camerawork so much, but the added visual effects really bother me. Maybe if you had waited until the breakdown it could have been a cool surprise, but spraying it all over the video like this is just distracting. I still like the video though! I could watch this guy play forever.
