@@robertcop8825radio stations ruin shit by playing the same damn thing over and over again, when you listen to the rest of the album you get to know how great of an album it is, my favs were shephard of fire, coming home, planets, and acid rain
That high-note at 2:32... wow, he's pretty much full on 2010-2011 levels vocaly again! I'm so pleased he can get those raspy screams and high-notes in! Pretty much after they released HTTK his voice was quite weak, and he struggled to hit any kind of note or scream at all, you could see him physically struggling to do it in those live videos, and his voice during The Stage era really wasn't very good at all. So pleased he's back to this great level again! Hoping he can maintain it
It’s a technique Matt uses for singing. He’s been doing it for a couple of years now. I believe he started doing it in the Grammy acoustic show they did. I forgot the reasoning on why he uses this technique though.
I use IEMs live as well, When you sing it flexs and opens the ear canal. No matter how good the fit or seal is this is going to unseal the IEM. So pushing it in fixes that Otherwise you get a flood of outside noise 😅
@@MitzQuilog yeah i know how all that works. im saying is there a issue with them, because it would seem hes grabbing at his ears a lot or seems like hes struggling to hear himself screaming or something. hes never grabbed at his ears like that on past performances.
Big fan long time but that blond hair crap gotta go, fire their person who chose that look i didnt finish the video, halford never did it and its over 40 yrs,
@@stephenfegan924 Actually, quite the opposite. They started using makeup and stage names to piss off hardcore fans, as in the genre hardcore punk, which is the scene they started and grew in. And the fact they incorporated metal elements (Pantera, At The Gates style) in the hardcore scene also pissed off the hardcore punk fans.
@@travisspaulding9540 yeah i think theyre still figuring it out. Matt especially seems like hes still getting his sea legs on stage. 5-7 years is a looong time to not tour or create any new music.
Hail to AVS for the amazing electronic background and music..love avs but can't afford a ticket maybe someday maybe never but still love avs music keep rocking s.d
Not that it's a big deal but he has had a really good hair transplant. Go back and look at his badly receding hairline, I am lucky with genetics I will never lose my hair, but for MANY blokes I feel awful for them, many do not GAF but it 'does' effect your self esteem, especially today women are so shallow. Plus he'd have the money to have a really professional clinic do it. As long as he is happy is all that matters - and after all it's the music that counts. And he is still an awesome front man.
Watch their live at the Grammy Museum acoustic performances, i think it's a vocal "aide" so to speak by blocking an ear canal it allows you to hear yourself better "in your own head". Because clearly he could likely hear himself just fine in that smaller, acoustic setting.
Listening to the Hail to the King song and album nowadays makes me wonder how much sicker it could have sounded with Brooks on drums then. Don't get me wrong, Aaron is a good drummer by most if not all standards, but he just wasn't A7X level good from what he put out on that album. I am a metal drummer myself, so when I say that Aaron was good, he was good, but hell... I really want to hear Brooks' take on creating a drum track for that album.
