Fun fact : M shadows (the signer) is actually very good friend with Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda. After the passing of Chester, they did an hommage concert featuring a bunch of well known voice artists to cover a song. But M Shadows came in at the very end of the concert, like the perfect button to this show and covered 3 songs with the band.
Jimmy (The Rev) Sullivan was one of the greatest drummers to grace the music world. So Far Away was their tribute to him after he passed, and the video is super emotional. Fantastic piece, start to finish. We love you Jimmy! "Your pain is gone, your hands are tied."
100% agree man. I mean this with my whole heart even my dudes know he is one of my biggest inspirations for music. I used to constantly look up his name on RU-vid to see if there would be more vids like his grapes in the bucket or the geese at the park vids. He is my very favorite and it’s cool to see someone with that same love for Jimmy. Stay up my g much love RIP The Rev
Good Avenged Sevenfold songs to start with: Bat Country Beast and the Harlot Afterlife Make sure to do Lyric Videos for these as the official videos cut out like 2 mins of each song.
Van you would LOVE “The Beast and the Harlot” but you’d have to do a lyric video cause the official music video cuts out the drum solo and it’s actually disgusting that they did that
Avenge Sevenfold is awesome man. Listened to them for years. Some of their songs have some good messages. Listen to buried alive and critical acclaim. They’re killer
Just to be clear, I didn't get the job then, BUT, I ended up getting an even better job at the same company I interviewed for then! One of the best companies to work for in MN and I give lots of credit to the LFR Family and their constant good vibes for keeping me on track to reach this goal! Legit good people in this fam
This is the first single and title track from American metal band Avenged Sevenfold' s fifth studio album. It's also the first single released without the former drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, who passed away on December 28, 2009 from a drug overdose. Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater, who is a major influence on Avenged Sevenfold, agreed to finish recording the drumming tracks for the album. The Rev's death hit Portnoy hard, as they both struggled with addiction, which in Portnoy's case, was alcohol. The album takes the listener on a dark journey. Prior to recording Nightmare, guitarist Zacky Vengeance said that Avenged were taking inspiration from the world around them. "We came off of the road amidst one of the most turbulent times in history," he said. "Everything going on around us was overwhelming, frightening, frustrating and confusing. I must confess that it was also very exciting to me. I'm sure you can share my sentiment." Vengeance added: "We have been focused on only one thing: writing and preparing to record what to me is our most personal and epic Avenged Sevenfold album. The reason is the fact that everything happening around us in the entire world might be a once-in-a-lifetime source of inspiration and direction."
This song was written before The Rev died and the lyrics remained unchanged after his death. He also co-wrote a lot of the other songs on the album, and Fiction was written by him alone.
@@johnwray393 “Buried Alive” is my favorite from them though, but no one can deny that “Shepard of Fire” is one of their most Legendary and well known songs.
Mike is an AMAZING drummer, but the Rev would have taken this album completely over the top. I remember sitting in my living room BAWLING when I heard about his passing.
Yo! Great reaction man, especially considering you were driving lol. You definitely got to check out more avenged sevenfold. Try Scream or Afterlife as your next song from them. Avoid A little piece of heaven. It's a great song, but if you aren't an a7x fan you make take it too seriously.
This is too cool! I'm just now seeing this and at the time you were almost at 100K subscribers. Today, as I'm watching, you have 678K! That's Hella growth in 2 years Man! CONGRATULATIONS!
That song was killer died time it takes to do the drum kick like that and the guitar solo my God that is incredible you will be here more of them absolutely
I absolutely love this song i was already into A7X but this song made me fall even more into the 🐇 hole that is A7X I absolutely love this band RIP Jimmy ( the Revs ) 1 of the absolute badass drummers in my opinion, M. Shadows always killing it with his singing my 1st song that I heard from this band was Hail to the King following This Means War & then Shepherd of Fire then Seize the Day then i heard the Nightmare album lol
Avenged Sevenfold you must listen to: Natural Born Killer The Stage Strength of the World M.I.A Buried Alive Don't Wanna Die Blinded in Chains And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
I know im very late to watch this reaction but hey, a good one indeed Sir! And you look good in the red color, it suits you. 💯🙌🏼 Keeping it real and i love that.
LFR FAMILY: I love Avenged Sevenfold! I think that the singer is up there in vocal caliber with Bruce Dickinson. If you have a chance ever in the future of Corona-world, go see Avenged Sevenfold. They sound so good and rock so frigging hard, you will not forget that show! I saw them at Ozzfest in Northern Cali years ago and they blew me away. Thanks so much for making your videos, man. We're the same age, man. It's cool to have a listen and get your input on the song and things in your world. Take care, buddy.
Ya ain't the only 1 who thinks that the 1st time i heard this song I immediately thought of the movie lol 😆 plus M. Shadows voice is beast and beautiful in my opinion I love all the songs that A7X produced and sung
No. The drummer is Mike Portnoy. He was the Revs favorite drummer whom drummed for Dream Theatre and was honored to come fill in. The Rev had already wrote most of his drum parts for this and possibly a few more if not the whole album but they hadn't gone to studio yet and only had some digital recordings from him at home on his electronic drum set. Mike took them and brought them to life trying to stay as true to the Revs styling as one possibly could. Travis Barker ain't the one here. Now their current drummer has very strong roots in the punk music community and was probably an influence to even Barker himself. They had one other drummer Arin that toured and wrote the parts on the album after nightmare. Not sure what happened but before the album after his they parted ways....
This album came out a little after their drummer, Jimmy Sullivan (aka The Reverend) passed away. So the band had one of his favorite drummers record drums for this album kinda as tribute. There's a lot of material for you to react to with Avenged, I highly recommend checking out their self titled album, starting with the song Almost Easy.
My favorite Avenged Sevenfold song is "Dear God", because it hits close to home. You should also check out "A Little Piece of Heaven" by Avenged Sevenfold.(warning: it's kind of "different" in the creepy way)
Yo i like your reaction, your vibe, your personality, you're so down to earth! My humble request is for you to react to two of their songs. These two songs are musically amazing but a lot of people have seemed to have forgotten them or might have never heard of them. Please do an audio or lyric reaction and not live or official music video. 1. M. I. A 2. Save Me Peace
Got to hear this song live man, it's insane. I wasnt the biggest fan before, but love them after that lol. Fantastic stage presence, pyro, etc. Sadly, I saw them with Mike portnoy and not Rev on drums(already passed, but portnoy did a fantastic job as usual.) Saw them twice, 2nd time was cut short cause the venue started flooding lol. They have a ton of good songs, I'd recommend beast and the harlot, or so far away if you havent yet to start. You're feeling the same way I did with rap, i grew up on metal, punk, classic rock and jazz. First time I heard Hopsin, blew my mind after never hearing rap otherwise really. Metal and rocks got a ton of great bands man, theres a ton to check out.
Love this song and, yes, you should see the video.I don’t know if you like horror movies, but I think a familiarity with the 80s movie Jacob’s Latter might help you understand the video, since the video is based on the movie(I read that it was a former band member’s favorite movie, and the video is kind of a salute to this former band member, who,as I read it,passed away.On the subject of Avenged Sevenfold, you should, unless you already did, react to their song A little Piece of Heaven. Its important that you react to the video for the song, though, because I just love watching people’s faces as the gruesomeness unfolds.
I noticed you've been doing some rock music bro you need to check out burn Halo stuck in a rut is one song by them torn to pieces is another one I think you'll enjoy it
Can you please Check Out Escape the Fate, One for the Money, Gorgeous Nightmare, The Flood, Insane.... Those are my favorite songs.. Fun Fact Ronnie Radke started ETF, Then was kicked out after going to prison, so Not Good Enough for Truth in Cliche is Escape the Fate Ronnie Radke, But the songs ⬆️⬆️⬆️ are ETF Craig Mabbit. Which btw Craig and Ronnie are friends now after a few yrs of arguing.
I don't think I ever heard you say where you are from but I'm asking if you are from Maryland or DC cause when you are driving from what I see the area looks familiar
music is colorless man, should try Five Finger Death Punch official video's of "Wrong Side of Heaven" "Gone Away" and "Coming Down" as well as continuing to go through basically all of Avenged Sevenfold's stuff. Wait a bit to do the music video of "A Little Piece of Heaven" though, might scare you away, if you haven't done it already.
I'm telling you bro you really need to check out Hollywood undead undead it's got the rock and roll heavy metal music instruments that you've grown to like but nothing but hip hop bars and there's five artists in the group
