Question about the fast pentatonic scale at 0:40-0:41: are the first 8 notes a hammer-on legato with a downward sweep picking or all played with alternate picking?

Great question! It's been a while since I played this , so I'm going off of memory here, but I think I turned it into a sweep picked run with downward pick slanting on the ascending portion, and alternate picked on the descending. Pretty positive that he straight alternate picks on the record though. I just modified it because doing it this way is easier for me. Hope this helps!
