Jake Mueller You did an amazing job! Couldn't believe how great the solo and the ending sounded especially good when you put your own twist in at 5:05. Held your nerve well. Did you get to speak to them after or did you just have to go back into the crowd?
I'd probably just break out in tears if I had just played & nailed So Far Away onstage with the band, and then M. Shadows said to me "Jimmy would be proud!". That would hit me so freaking hard. Him saying just in this video hits me, and I'm watching months later on a computer screen! Seriously, that would be the greatest day of my life, almost no holds barred. You are a lucky man. Great job!
People have no idea how hard this is. To be handed a guitar that's not yours and you have no experience with and to just play in front of so many people. Personally, I even have a hard time using other people's guitars.
blackknightkanos not to mention that he played next to his probably favourite band and tried to give them a really good impression. This geezer was fucking legendary. I have nothing but respect for him. So calm, and so good for a person who was handed a guitar and asked to play along with the song. A7X!
Hell, biggest gig i've done was playing guitar in front of about a thousand people for a 2-hour set, with 2 years of live performances with the band and a dozen performances of violin and piano for the school (music-intensive high school) and with my own gear and I was still nervous af. Every time I dream about getting pulled by a band/artist I like and think everything would be awesome, but I would prob just stagedive right out xD
This has got to be the most epic moment in that guy's life. Even I feel it for him. It was just that great. Just look at him, he absolutely nailed the song and the solos, considering there were thousands in front of him and playing alongside such an awesome band. I would have pissed in my pants if I were him. But he was so calm, and controlled, he even chattered with syn, zacky and johnny as if he knew them for years. Who could do that?! He absolutely stole the stage.I just feel so happy for him
I honestly feel like The Rev is proud of Avenged Sevenfold, for continuing on and then doing things like this, this is what being a band is about. Doing it for eachother and the fans.
It's so good to see how human those guys actually are. They've been through all the Rockstar tropes but deep down they are really decent dudes. That never cease to make me smile!
I love how he doesn't try to outshine the band. And the band isn't trying to outshine him either. It's just respect all around. Respect for Jamie, A7X, the audience, and above all the Rev. Rock on
When M. Shadows says that the Rev would be proud, AND when Synyster Gates applauds you...you know you've done something right. Props to this guy for doing so well.
5:39 Having M. Shadows say "Jimmy would be proud" hit me like a brick wall! Fuckin' awesome job! You really deserved that praise from him. Rest in peace, James Owen Sullivan. A7X foREVer!
when I see this video, I remember my 2 best friends who have gone ahead of me.. I remember when we were still in school, 3 mischievous children that the teachers didn't like but we never fought them. take it easy there, my friend, this friend of yours will followed😭..love from 🇲🇾🫡
I'm in awe how well he did, NICE job! You were up there murdering the damn song AND walking around relaxed like it was nothing! Kudos, major kudos to you! :-)
No Matter How Much Times I See This......I Will Always Enjoy It....The Fact That This Guy Showed His Passion And Dedicated It To The Greatest Drummer (In My Opinion) And My Idol The Rev.....And Still Gets Applause From Synyster Gates.......He Played Amazingly Beautiful.....
added to the fact they are world cass in the music they make, they are the coolest group of guys on the planet. huge yet humble just no words for how awesome these men really are...R.I.P REV.
this guy better always treasure thus moment... he didnt just play on stage with a7x but he played the guitar that was held and played by syn gates himself... and even the rev ...
Sure this song is quite easy to play but man it takes nerves to play it unprepared just like that. I'm amazed that he didn't screw it up more than those few bad notes in the end!
so its only been over a decade ago... but omg what a fucking experience. I'm jus now where I can even listen 💔to that song again. Thats why I hadn't seen it . but I'm so grateful that I did. You lived the dream of millions fans and on that song ! fucking amazing> I hope your still playing.💙💙🤘
I've had a few questions about the camera I use. I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5. The ZS7 is the new version and takes the same quality. I think the audio with this camera is by far the best I've used for concerts. Glad everyone likes the video - my favorite part is the end when Shadows says "that was fucking AWESOME!". Priceless.
This guy definitely has some experience playing live. Probably has his own band. He looked decently comfortable. But STILL. It’s a whole different thing when you’re called up to play in front of THAT many people with a real BIG band and one that’s one of your favorites. Thrown in there without any practice with the band or their equipment and an unfamiliar guitar, without warming up. Just thrown into that situation. Amazing
That's my homie Jake. Incredibly gifted musician! I've been honored to be a part of a band with him for some if the best years of my life! Awesome dude. It always puts a smile on my face when I watch this.
I'm a drummer and I cant play guitars at all. But damn he did a perfect job. Take a bow son. Syn's applause and when M said Jimmy would be proud, man.....there it is!!!! Not just those 5 on stage but whole a7x is proud af to see you up there playing man 💯
You know you did good when Syn gives you applause and Matt gives you BOTH thumbs up, and the crowd is loving it and cheering for you, and the band loves it, also Johnny clapped for him too. AND especially when Matt said, "Jimmy would be proud", and then said, "That was fucking awesome."
5:40 = jimmy would be proud thank u so much man! this is why i love a7x. they love their fans, they have been their to help the band with the passing of rev. RIP my friend
Did I miss something about Facebook trolls disliking every fucking video? I mean you can click on a video where an 8 year old girl beat cancer and you'll see 16 dislikes, What the fuck is wrong people. This was incredible that this kid got to play a dedication song to another musician. The dislike tab on this video needs disabled
